So, I got something unexpected last night. I usually turn off my Instagram notifications because my boyfriend and I have each other's login information so we can trust each other(same thing with Snapchat), and I don't feel the need to be constantly receiving his texts. But yesterday, besides hanging out with my friend, Nate, it was kind of a bad day. I had a lot on my mind so I went for another walk(I also go on walks for exercise) and right when Nate found me chilling in the forest, I lost my expensive pair of Bluetooth earbuds. They were my best pair and I was going to go look for them today but it was raining outside, so I bet they're dead and gone.
While hanging out, I bought some Monster energy drinks and some sodas for myself and when I got home and laid the bags on my bed, I quickly realized that, despite having closed the lid on my Monster earlier, it leaked through the bag and through all my sheets and weighted blanket I have on top. Luckily, it was only on the foot of my bed, so my pillows were fine, but still. It made me a little frustrated.
Later on though, I opened up Instagram and found a text request from someone I didn't know. They texted me around 4-5 paragraphs and typically, I wouldn't bother to read them. But I started and I was quickly fascinated to realize that this person saw my profile on here, read my stories, and was inspired. WHAT?! Some random nice person online found out about me and was...(*insert surprised gasping and stuttering noises*)…INSPIRED?! Well, this was different. They told me about their journey and things in their life that have happened, and yes, if you're wondering, they did give me permission to write about them, and if that person is reading this, hello :). I hope you're smiling to yourself because you've been noticed and you have a new friend.
I mean, there was this one time where, at my old restaurant job, a teenage girl walked in and somehow recognized me from Tiktok, and SHE WAS FROM UTAH!!! That's crazy, honestly, considering I'm from Pennsylvania.
It's just so crazy and mind boggling to think that people out there in the world know who I am. I have two friends online who I have on Snapchat and he lives in Australia, one being the girl I met last night who reads my stories. I know my ex boyfriend's most recent ex lives in the UK, which is pretty cool. But being honest, I never would've thought that even one or two people from other countries/continents would know who I am. It's the exact feeling I got when I saw that my most viral Tiktok I've posted has over 1 million views. It's crazy, considering I've always dreamed of being out in the world and having people know who I am. Most of my life I've been a sheltered, relatively quite kid who was verbally and sometimes physically abused but toxic adopted parents, and now, I have 15.5 thousand followers on Tiktok(look me up @jamq19) and I have people from the UK and Australia who know who I am!
For anyone who reads my stories, DM me on Instagram and I'll probably respond, I'm not famous so I don't have too many people texting me. Maybe give suggestions for things to write about or things to post on Tiktok or YouTube(I NEED to start posting on YouTube, so someone force me please). Ask me questions and I'll be glad to answer them(unless they're inappropriate then heck no), maybe give some suggestions, or just say hello. I'm pretty nice(usually) and I like talking to people. But thanks for reading, and, when she starts posting her stories, go read them! The girl from last night, her name on here is Sierra Gregson, and I would appreciate if you read her stories, once she starts posting. Until next time :)
