Shaking Up My Luck

It was the middle of the night, when a sudden jolt suddenly woke me up. The room was shaking, glass from my windows had shattered everywhere, things were falling down all around me. Not another earthquake!! I had endured a lot in my life, but the constant earthquake after eartquake was getting to me. All that "excitement" that seemed like an eternity, actually only lasted 5 minutes. There was substantial damage done to the building that I was living in at the time, and instead of waiting for the necessary repairs to be done this time, I made the decision to find another place as soon as I was able to. I gathered up all the belongings that I was able to salvage, and found a cheap hotel to stay in temporarily. While looking for a more permanent place, I decided to help clean up the debris in the meantime.

While in the midst of cleaning up, and helping my fellow neighbors and friends, something buried in the rubble caught the corner of my eye. It appeared to be some kind of old black notebook of sorts. Opened the front cover, and the notebook was from the 1930s, and in almost pristine condition! So I took it back to my hotel room and decided to dive further into the notebook. What I found was that page after page was abundantly full of the towns history from the 1930s. Strangely enough, right smack dab in the middle of the notebook were 2 $10,000 bills in very pristine, and MINT condition! I was completely flabbergasted. I went and had the bills thoroughly tested for authenticity. The results came back, and the 2 $10,000 bills were without a doubt and in fact 100% AUTHENTIC and REAL! Wow, oh WOW!! What fortunate luck!!

Next item was finding a legit seller to sell these to, and attempt to turn a profit. I found someone, sold the 2 $10,000 bills, and got $250,000 for them! That's a $200,000+ profit. Things were slowly looking up for me. I then found a nice, quiet serene place in the woods that was far, far away from any epicenter. I decided to invest a portion of my profit into a few stocks. Up and down and up and down was the trend for months and months on end. Then one day I decided to sell my stocks, and OH BOY OH BOY!! Did I ever make a HUGE profit there. I had somehow managed to turn the portion of that $250,000 I had invested, into a $250,000,000 profit! Oh whatever was I going to do with all that money? I decided to wire some of that money to each of my friends and family affected by the previous earthquake in my former place of residence.

With some of that money, I also had decided to expand my online blog, and branch out further in hopes that I could help other people. I also started up a few of my own businesses as well. One of them being a humble small town cafe, and the other being a safe haven for people in times of trouble. Both businesses turned out to be incredibly successful. Things were going so well, that I was able to branch out and start up many franchises around the country, and eventually globally! I was just amazed at all the blessings that were pouring out! I never in my whole life thought that any of this would be even remotely possible! To think that the only reason all these random occurrances even happened was because my luck had been shaken up in that one earthquake on that one day.
