One Week In

First of all, let me start this article by mentioning the catastrophic happenstance of the California fires, devastating almost everything there is to love about LA!!! All the beachside Malibu houses framing the PCH, charred. Celeb homes, gone. The fires are still ablaze, it's been three days and counting. Heading to Brentwood as we speak... It's almost as if the fire chose the most expensive parts of town but somehow spared Hollywood. I don't think any stages (film sets) have succumbed to the fires as of today. I hope that whoever is planning to make this into a movie, gets all the real life footage now of the worse fire in all of California's history. It almost feels unreal but to the people who lost their entire lives work it's so, so real. Houses are NOT cheap in LA!

Granted, SoCal/LA is not for everyone but if you share a mutual love for LA as she does for you, you will share in the collective grief that some of us are feeling. Or, if you're a person with a pulse that's attached to a heart... I've heard the wildest judgements from people who have never even been to LA that I can't help but shake my head. Haters gone hate!

Speaking of haters, what a way to censor this Pulitzer Prize cartoonist Washington Post aka Bezos! I will proudly post and have posted, this spot on cartoonist illustration of Trump and his pack of elitist, billionaire boys club who he so proudly threatens into getting his way- META. Have you seen the press release from Mar Largo? Man oh man, I wish all of us the confidence that this man has... He most certainly believes his lies. I don't know why I'm surprised that Mark Zuckerberg totally caved to the threats... Clearly he's a nerd and still hates feeling bullied. Trump is set to be the most powerful man in America with all these guys in his pocket. No more fact-checking and not only that, Zuckerberg moving his operations to Texas with Musk-Man!?! We are in for it guys, we might as well become AI... If Elon has his way, we're all getting neurolinked. Such a dystopian outlook when humanity is left on earth with nothing and the one percent is on Mars.

America is so divided. I honestly believe that wanting someone to manipulate and control you is easier than thinking for yourself; so basically most of America has given up and let Trump in. (A pun on "let God in") For the record, I highly doubt that Trump is religious although MAGA seems to be 'Christian- Nationalists'. It never eases to amaze me how many terms we have to polarize us as Americans. Like it's not enough to just be a Christian but you have to "lord it over" all Americans. If you're not MAGA, you're not a true Christian? Give me a break. Who makes these rules?? The way I show my nationalism is by being very much a left-leaning Liberal, thank you very much!

It always amazes me how the right swears that the left wrecked America's first Amendment. Censorship is still going to exist Elon and Trump! The right is already trying to silence "mainstream media." Does that censorship not count?? It's incredible to me how petty Trump and his allies are. It's social media! Your feelings are going to be hurt by complete strangers... You know what Trump did? Created an echo-chamber called Truth Social, where lies become truth. Nevermind the fact (pun intended) that the truth should actually be worth something! Mainstream media who disagree with Trumps lies have been threatened by Trump but thankfully and hopefully, they won't cave like Zuckerberg has and they will continue to fact-check the guy.

He hasn't even been sworn in as yet and he's already causing so much discord! In his words, Canada should be apart of America and Greenland may be taken by force, the Panama Canal is for Americas National Security... Trump is so insecure that he even needed to drag the late President Carter for selling the Panama Canal for one dollar... (I haven't fact-checked that) Trump has no conscience, ethics or morality for speaking ill of the dead who happens to be a fellow President of the USA. Gosh, I find it so hard to take him seriously.

I was listening to Piers Morgan's Unscensored show with Candace Owens versus Mikhaila Peterson (Jordan Peterson's daughter) and they both disagreed on Musk-Man's role in all of this. Have you seen Resident Alien? Well, that's how I feel about Musk. He's not from Earth and I see it. I've seen a couple of Tesla trucks on the road today, spaceship reminiscent much? He's trying to get back home. IYKYK.

Week One of 2025 has been nothing short of breath-taking and not in the good way. I had to try multiple remedies to clear my head today including driving to the coast, trying to drown my emotions and animosity and now I'm trying writing, which usually calms me. Mission accomplished. I think my biggest wish for 2025 is that we do not take ourselves too seriously. Not seriously enough to hate and blame each other, god no. Say no to the cult of MAGA! I wish Biden a great retirement from his political career. I'm so glad he lived out his purpose of being a President, not everyone gets that opportunity. He feels like my Grandfather too. See ya after the inauguration of the convicted felon.
