The contemporary way of life, the stress, the pollution makes us think of comfortable alternatives to maintain our health. One of the handiest is consuming fresh vegetable and fruit juices.

What is the juice intake?

Lately, both researchers and the press have been insisting more and more on the advantages of such a regime. And this is primarily due to the fact that juices are the most natural source of vitamins and minerals. Of course, on the shelves of pharmacies you can find a diverse range of nutritional supplements, but the artificial ingredients that they often contain, but also their rather high cost, make fresh juices a much better choice.

One of the major benefits of fruit juices is their antioxidant potential. This action reduces the appearance of free radicals - molecules that form in the body due to the accumulation of toxins by exposure to cigarette smoke, pollution, and even chemicals in food.

Antioxidants protect us from some major diseases, such as cardiovascular disease or cancer. Among the most important antioxidants are vitamins A, C, and E, which fruit and vegetable juices contain in abundance, in the most natural form.

How much fresh juice should we drink?

Surprisingly, the amount is not very large. Research shows that 2-3 glasses of 250 ml are enough every day to see an improvement in health. Of course, the amount will depend on our digestive tolerance. For an enhanced detoxifying effect, some juices, such as citrus juices, can be combined with plain mineral water.

Orange cocktail

  • 2 large oranges
  • 1 peach or medium nectarine
  • carbonated mineral water
  • 1/4 teaspoon honey

Squeeze the oranges and peach. Pour the juice obtained in a tall glass and then add mineral water. Add the honey and then mix well.

How do we get fresh juices?

The simplest and fastest method is of course the use of an electric juicer or a multifunctional robot that has a built-in juicer. If you think these are too expensive an investment, you can choose a simple citrus juicer.

The juice obtained will be more fluid and will not contain fruit pulp. Another method - which will take longer - is manual squeezing. To do this, you must first put the fruit or vegetables on a grater and then put them in a piece of gauze. By squeezing the mixture well, you will get the desired juice.

Appetizing cocktail

  • 2 large peaches
  • 6 large strawberries, cut into pieces
  • 250 ml sour cream

Squeeze the peaches. Pour the juice into a glass, add the chopped strawberries. Mix well, add sour cream and mix again. Tastes beyond expectations.

What vegetables and fruits do you use?

Virtually all fruits and vegetables - from apples and oranges to carrots and cucumbers - can be used for their juice. Obviously, some of them can only be squeezed with the help of an electric device and not manually. Here are the nutritional qualities of the most commonly used fruits and vegetables.

APPLE: Apple juice is extremely tasty, fragrant, and very sweet. Contains folic acid in significant amounts, beta-carotene, and small amounts of vitamin B1, B2, and E.

GRAPES: Grape juice is slightly acidic, but contains a lot of vitamins C and E, as well as B-complex vitamins.

GRAPEFRUIT: A delicious juice with a high content of vitamin C, beta-carotene, and low amounts of B-complex vitamins.

ORANGE: Orange juice is one of the most refreshing and tasty natural juices, and can be consumed daily. It contains a lot of vitamin C and beta-carotene.

PINEAPPLE: A juice that must be consumed, due to its bromelain content, which helps digestive processes. Rich in beta-carotene, vitamin C, and B-complex vitamins.

CARROT: From it, you can get one of the most important vegetable juices, with a specific sweet taste. It contains a lot of vitamin C and obviously carotene, and in smaller quantities B1, B2, B5, and E.

ROSIE: Incredibly tasty juice, contains beta-carotene, vitamin C, and folic acid. These are just some of the fruits and vegetables that can be used, although many more could be on this list.

It should also be noted that some juices have a very strong taste and therefore must be diluted with water or mixed with other natural juices.
