Modern world is just a joke

Artificial food, chemical substances in tools, virtual currency……… As you can see, the thing i listed above are all fake. So what actually is real in modern? And as the barrier between “real” stuff and “fake” stuff gets more and more blurry, what can we do? should be just give up and resign by accepting the fake stuff, or are there any alternative ways to solve this modern madness? So pause for a while and think.

In the past, a rock is a rock, a book is a book, when you have a meal, you can be able to identity its original form based on the food you saw and know its source from nature. But now? when you just open a phone for example, or other daily life tools, the things inside are extremely complex, from semi-metals like silicon crafted so small with different tool that it can’t be grasped, to items so dangerous and unable to be identified for it’s original form such as lithium battery cells and semi-reflection glass.

Even the daily food we consume isn’t any better either. When you open a burger from restaurant, according to what you see, you can see bread, cheese and meat, this might be true for some restaurants. However, for some cases, meats might be just mixing of different types of expired meat from different sources and adding extreme amount of cheap chemicals, and cheap artificial flavorings. Even those shops that sells food under the label of “organic”, how do you know it are organic? Or is it just another lie? You will never know.

Except tools, furniture and food, the internet isn’t safe too. For example lets not talk about the fake contents spreading across different media online generated by artificial intelligence, but talk about something more in the past which still considered modern(digital currency) as we will mention them in the next passage that will be published next time.

When you buy things from different places, for some of the times, you might be doing it with the click of the phone. But did you even see the physical money? Have you ever think of a question about what if the app had some glitches or hidden bugs unseen currently, that would explode into chaos once it reaches a limit. Those creators online often says that they have confident it would be stable, but where? If some skilled hackers like hacked the digital currency system, or worse the entire internet, you might say that it is impossible as the internet is strong, but even how strong it is, there will be mistakes, humans make mistakes, just because it is strong, doesn’t mean it have no mistakes, also even some might say that it didn’t happen, doesn’t means it won’t happen. If some hackers somehow hacked the system, with one click of deleting everything, the entire modern world would be turned into chaos, and takes minimum months, or years, for the worst case decades to recovered, and at take time we would be like people in the past eras with minimum modern tech as well as a bunch of pollutions.

Lets not talk about the topic real and fake, but something worse, existence crisis. Since the 1945, humans has deployed a deadly weapon that human themselves created and sufficient to lead to a world of nuclear winter with sufficient amount, worst case, total extension of humans and other living beings on earth. And during that period, the nuclear bombs are even getting deadlier and deadlier in radius, with an exponential growth. Don’t forget the biological weapons and artificial intelligence alignment problem. As well as global warming. As you can see, modern world and human itself isn’t as resilience like the surface, the modern world is like an object with surface of a titanium but inside is made of glass, with a small force applied, the entire glass would shatter, leading to catastrophic result.

Even without the deadly weapons, modern world is still weak. We are like living in an interconnected complex system, for example, the high tech object you are holding, its source is actually made from multiple factories, can the production of the gears of the factories that made the object is also build by even more different factories, all the way tracing back to everything, with just one collapse of once single industry, the entire modern economy would collapse, and potentially leading to a snowball effect we can’t control.

Here are just some of the modern world problems, don’t fEven without the deadly weapons, modern world is still weak. We are like living in an interconnected complex system, for example, the high tech object you are holding, its source is actually made from multiple factories, can the production of the gears of the factories that made the object is also build by even more different factories, all the way tracing back to everything, with just one collapse of once single industry, the entire modern economy would collapse, and potentially leading to a snowball effect we can’t control.orget inequality, pollution, over automation………….. i won’t list them all as it takes days to explain them one by one.
