Luna de Flor

A Gemini Season Forecast (May 21-June 20)

By Robyn DelaneyPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

This 2021 Gemini season, those born under this positive Air sign will be called out on all they try to keep hidden from themselves―sorry not sorry. Beginning on May 26th, the full moon’s relentless and far-reaching glow will reveal those thoughts and feelings which you have managed to suppress. With her full-rounded power she will coax out of you the emotions you have buried deep and put off facing until they surround you like ocean waves and you have no choice but to tread water in their midst. Luckily, you will not be inclined to resist this process once it begins! In fact, with a lungful of breath you will howl out a grateful sigh of relief, almost worshipful, like a lone wolf who breaks the silence of the night air with his echoing call. This is because within this uncomfortable self-confrontation there is the seed that will bloom your new petals to flaunt just in time for summer solstice (which begins the day after Gemini’s transformative season ends). After all, May’s full moon is the Flower Moon, which you will embody so long as you complete the self-nourishing work.

How did you get into this mess of suppressed emotions in the first place? With your usual oscillating moods, jumping from social butterfly to solitary eagle―choosing which face to show can become overwhelming to the point where instead of trying to feel it out, you push it all away and try to distract yourself with the next new thing. But like a pendulum that swings back and forth, the vacillation will come to a stop eventually and you will have no choice but to face your reflection. Beware Gemini....of like-minded signs and their role in your life this next month. Other air signs (Libra and Aquarius for instance) may offer you the wrong advice, since they too like to dwell up high in the mind and away from the darker trenches of emotion. So, although they may tell you what you want to hear, that is, to put these “silly” emotions aside and not bother with them, it will not be of great help to you in the long run.

Interestingly, an unthinkable union may take place in the form of an encounter with a Scorpio, who is typically one of the least compatible signs with Gemini. Whether or not this encounter is fated to be romantic is ultimately up to you but make no mistake, even a mere acquaintanceship with this Water sign will open your eyes to your vast sea of feelings and how to cope with them without drowning. If love blossoms here, it will be one of the rarest connections within the Zodiac! All of this will be setting a foundation for you, one that will be strong enough to start building the long life of inquiry and discovery that you long for (hopefully as long a life that your twin Gemini, the late Prince Phillip lived). And speaking of celebrity Geminis, why do you think fellow Gemini Natalie Portman was able to portray both the White Swan and the Black Swan so perfectly? To know yourself, you must get to know each of your sides to the same depth―even if one seems undesirable at first.

Around June 10th, when the moon is New and her light is missing from the sky, you may be tempted whilst immersed in euphoric social gatherings to hastily jump on what you think to be a good business investment. Do not allow yourself to forget all that the full moon’s revealing light has taught you. Just as the artist’s intuition recognizes a less-than-worthy offer for his painting, remember that it is profound work, not the fast-track, that promises financial results. As a mutable sign this season’s transformative winds are something you can handle with your knack for quick adaptability. Take the same curiosity of your inquisitive mind and apply it to the areas that are uncharted, namely the hills and valleys and of your heart. Pull your gaze up to the sky and use the cues of lunar waxing and waning as a reminder that there are two sides to the Moon.
