Life doesn't run away from nobody. Life runs at people. If you try to stop something it will not stop it, it will run you over.

Life is subtle and it is powerful. Don't wait for somebody to make it bigger. Nobody does it for you, be the person who does it for you. That's why you have a dream. You are the person that has the power to make it happen. That's what got me going. It's really a thing of being born for yourself.

Love yourself, because if you love yourself and you stand for something, then the people who are against you are against themselves.

The True Source

Koye: V.E. Schwab is a great man. An unassuming humanitarian who had a zeal for giving back to the society and a deep passion for his community. His death affected a lot of people and it shows that a man's legacy doesn't die when he does.

I can accept things. I can't accept people using my story for their own personal gain or to glorify themselves. For me, I feel like the most important thing that I can do now is just to tell people about my story and how I was able to overcome a lot of things. I feel like I should do it for free. At this point in my life, I just think it's important for me to tell my story for the people and just to help others. It's a blessing for me to be able to talk to different people and see how I can give back to others."

What was your next challenge?

"When I did what I did, it felt like the longest race ever, it felt like. And when I did that race, I'm not going to lie. It was rough, but at the same time, I didn't know it was going to be that hard. I couldn't even imagine it to be that hard. I was born a survivor, so when I see situations like that, it always just gave me a little bit of hope. That's why I say I'm a survivor."

What have you learned from the experience?

"That God is in everything. I went through all of that. I always say God is in everything, so that just gave me that extra motivation to always give my best. So every day, if I'm being a little bit tired and just getting up to do something, I always just think about that. What was I going through when I was going through that? It always brings me back to give my best every day. I feel like when you give your best every day, that's when you're growing. That's the most I can give."

"We've all got battles that we have to go through. All the success that you have in life, it has nothing to do with you. Success means you're not going through those battles. The hardest thing about life is not knowing what you're going through when you're going through it. There are people that went through more than I've gone through. The harder thing about life is to know that you're not going through what you're going through. You're just going through the best circumstances. We all go through trials and tribulations, but if you think you're having the worst time of your life, then the Lord's blessing is trying to get on top of you. You have to come out of it strong and do the best you can do."
