Leo Woman & Cancer Man

Frugal, extremely sensitive and often introverted, the Cancer man surprises even himself when he decides to pursue the Lioness. Her first impression of the Crab is an aura of mystery and she is pulled in by his lunar influence which she is also just a little intimidated of.

He grabs her attention when she catches him gazing at her with an open sense of wonder and curiosity. Though he looks manly enough, there is something sweet and a little sad about him that brings out her maternal and protective instinct. He invites her to many picnics on the beach with waves crashing on the shore under the moon's hypnotic glow and she is delighted that he has welcomed her into his natural habitat.

The rose-colored glasses she is wearing fog up just a tad when she notices how moody he can get. Next, he forgets to tip the waiter at dinner. Then he has the nerve to question her with squinty eyed suspicion over a baseless rumor one of her rivals concocted. It all unravels from here.

The Cancer man is too insecure and untrusting to be with the extroverted, gregarious Lioness and she is far too impatient to deal with his ongoing need for reassurance. Is he a man or a mouse? Wait a minute. He's a crab! Now it all makes perfect sense to her.

Few duos of the Zodiac have the ability to wound each other as deeply as the Crab and the Lioness. When the Cancer man feels defensive, he either withdraws into his shell or resorts to verbal combat. Though he doesn't really mean them, his cruel words cause her profound distress and rattle her to the core.

She is no slouch herself when when it comes to hurling an insult and her mouth gets away from her as she backs the Crab into a corner. Ironically, this reinforces all his insecurities that she initially wanted to sooth away. Like building a house only to knock it down.

Realizing this, her heart aches for him as he brandishes his claws in a final attempt to defend himself but she reverts back to anger when she feels the sting of his pincers. And so it goes.

Unlike the Pisces, the Cancer man has little to bring to the table of the Lioness. He will never tolerate her extravagant spending and grows irritable over her many social contacts that she calls on frequently.

Typically these two do not learn and grow from each other and do best going their separate ways. Leo women who are drawn to the tension caused by this match frequently have unresolved issues of neglect or abuse deeply rooted in childhood.

She may be subconsciously repeating patterns that have etched themselves to her psyche by playing the role of protective mother to the Crab in a dysfunctional attempt to heal her own inner child. Sadly, this also enables her to relive the pain of a union that does not bring happiness.

Remaining friends is difficult as both feel that the lines that have been crossed are final. Neither retains ill will towards the other, only traces of regret that linger in the hearts of both.
