Learning to Love Again
Love - that one emotion that nobody truly understands. Sometimes it feels like the most amazing thing on earth, and others it feels like your heart is being stabbed by a thousand knives. It's a complicated mess most of the time, especially when you suffer from a personality disorder that makes all of your emotions even more intense.

15 Signs You're ACTUALLY in a Healthy Relationship
Nowadays, we are inundated with social media expectations of relationships. The normalisation of the "psycho" partner, cheating, and pressuring young adults — barely past their 18th birthday to find the love of their life, because if they don’t then they will be alone forever. But then, then we stumble across the hero’s of the internet — our saviours in a dark time, they write articles and lists upon lists that tell us how we have to be in love (hypocritical, I know… But bare with me.) But why can’t they be subjective? Or HEALTHY? So, here is MY 15 signs you’re actually in a healthy relationship…

Thoughts on Divorce
When you get engaged, all you hear about are the exciting things that come from it. You get to anticipate falling asleep and waking up in your best friend’s arms every morning. You get to look forward to the romantic late nights and long days of getting to be by their side anytime you want. You think about the adventures and countless movies and bags of popcorn you’ll go through. Yes, these are all great… but what about the nights you have to hold her, sobbing, because she’s had a horrible day? What about the day he gets laid off and you have to convince him it’s all going to be okay? What about when someone close passes and she goes through a horrible bout of depression? What about when he gets told he has a heart disease and needs to change his diet and take medicines for the rest of his life? You never hear about any of the possible terrible fights. Or the tragedies of accidents and deaths. You don’t think about the days when things aren’t going to go as planned and your worlds fall apart. But THEY HAPPEN whether we think about it beforehand or not.

But, Baby
It started in high school. Girl meets boy and girl likes boy. Typical, I know. He was younger than her but she didn’t care. They would flirt in the hallways and on their way to classes until he finally asked for her number. When he asked her to be his girlfriend, she said yes, of course. Shouldn’t that be the happiest moment of her life? She thought so.

Most Useful Books for a Healthy Relationship Every Couple Should Read
I remember the time a book saved my life. It was called, My First 2,000 Men, by Liz Renay. At the time, I was in an abusive relationship with someone who would slut-shame me for having lovers in my past. Today, I would have gotten up and left. Since I was only 18, I didn't know any better.

Never As It Seems
It all started about 5 or 6 years ago. I was only 15 and he was 16. The one kid I was always scared of, always scared to get near. I never thought he would be the one. My first love, the one I still love. I never once thought that I would be the one to ever get depressed or have anxiety. The very first time we ever dated was 6 years ago. Never thought I would or even could feel this way about somebody. Our first few years were very dumpy. Always on and off. Constantly fighting. I could never leave my house without being accused of cheating. Couldn’t go to a friend's house and hang out with calling and asking first. But actually besides all that, he was still really caring, loving, and sweet. Just a little crazy. We grew up together basically.

Georgia On My Mind
We drive past trailer parks, through towns with no police departments. We are searching for mountains to climb, as if we won’t have to face enough of our own soon enough. We’re living on borrowed time, your six foot frame origami folded into the driver’s seat is not something the threadbare strings of my heart can afford to get used to. But your shit eating grin is stuck like a pin through my atrium anyway. There’s nothing I can do about it.

Netflix And Chill Out: How I Kept My Long Distance Relationship Alive
Moving abroad can be a struggle for anyone, let alone when you don't speak the language, you're horrible with directions, and you'll be leaving your nearest and dearest behind. Believe me though, relationships can survive that short hop over the ocean and a small plane ride — don't ask me about further away, Berlin to Manchester is only a two-hour flight. Where 2016 has been a year of sadness and death for many, I strived to keep my relationship alive and make the most out of a difficult situation. I don't expect any medals, but I am accepting bouquets of flowers.

Kiss The Ones You Love
They were all in a line. Twenty-two of them. Twenty-two frogs all sitting, patiently in a neat row is a weird enough sight. Facing them was a boy in a freshly unflatpacked wheelie office chair. He was staring at each frog with a casual but considerate eye, one after the other. This one had a wart or a lump close to its eye so it made its face look wonky. That one had a tattered and broken looking foot. Another one had some sort of little tail. Further down the line was one that only stared at the floor. He felt bad for that one. It could have some social disorder, and here he is forcing it to sit in a row with a big bundle of other frogs. The boy wheeled to it. No, not it. Him. The boy wheeled closer to...Simon. The moment his chair stopped the boy picked him up, with little gloves on. He heard the heat of skin burns frogs. The frog flinched a bit, but settled quickly. Then the boy kissed it. Not a long kiss, certainly no tongue. Neither party seemed to enjoy it. It was a light peck and that was all. The moment it was done the frog was placed back in the line.
