Becoming Me
Part One: Ever since I was a kid, I had always been just one of the guys. Playing sports, riding bikes, complete “tomboy” as others would have described me growing up. Pretty much if the boys were doing it, then I was right there with them. Staying inside and playing with dolls or doing my hair in pretty little dresses just wasn’t for me. Once I could dress myself my wardrobe quickly became a ponytail for my long hair to be thrown up in, my heads and oversized t-shirts would do well for the games we’d play as kids. Muddy sneakers thrown off in the grass so we could all feel the squishy mud between our toes. I was just one of the guys. Although on the outside there was something different about me. I was born a female with all the correct female parts. Yet something inside always seemed off to me.

My Most Embarrassing Date
We've all done it. Went on a date with someone who we met online or even a blind date, and then once it finally happens, you're regretting every second of it. This happened to me not too long ago. I met a decent looking guy online, who was capable of having a respectful conversation with me (which is hard to come by these days with no forward questions or pervy comments). So we decided to meet up at a pizza shop.

Respect Your Relationship
When you are in a relationship, you have to learn that if you want respect from your partner, you have to give it first. If they take your respect and throw it away, then it was something they were either not use to getting or didn't know how to handle you in the first place. Now I'm no relationship expert or anything like that so you don't have to take my advice. However, you can read my story and my life as it is now.

Honest Sincerity
The was city quiet, almost eerie as we walked along deserted streets. I reached out with my dry calloused hand and touched her soft pale palm. I knew of a small walking trail just ahead that lead down to a private little alcove everyone called Puerto Rican beach. The shore was lined with small stones, smooth and weathered from hundreds of years of being beaten around by the current. I considered, for a moment, where they may have originated from, and how long it took them to reach this specific place in time. There was a fallen tree a few feet back from the shoreline and we decided to settle there for a short time. The reflection of the setting sun danced across the glassy water, while the blood red sky illuminated the evening with a romantic glow. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her closer. She was much younger then I, though it never showed. Elegant and defined, well spoken, and yet there was an unsurety about her. On one hand it was clear that we were both smitten. The way we gazed into each other's eyes as the deep red horizon slowly sank. It was all like something straight out of some cheesy romance novel, or the ending of your favorite romantic comedy. As the two of us sat there quietly discussing the weather, the entitlement of the younger generation, and love, of course we spoke of love. Neither one of us would say the word itself, yet there in that warm summer night, it spun around, between, and underneath us like a cool evening breeze. Half the time we didn't say anything. We just sat there gazing at each other, her smile was so innocent and sincere. I could tell she was trying to hold it back, not expose herself too far. There was a pain in her eyes that told me her past had not been easy, I could see that she was still healing from the wounds of her past. Yet there was a quiet comfort, an honest sincerity between us. I leaned in and kissed her forehead as if to say "whatever you've been through doesn't matter, you're safe now."

What to Do When Your Boyfriend Ignores You
There are very few things that a person can do which will be as hurtful as ignoring you—especially during an argument. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who seem to think that the best way to stay in power is to ignore a person until they concede.

Cards for People That Don't Care About Valentine's Day
Ah, Valentine's Day, it's the holiday solely based on love between couples and even friends. The holiday where you give each other stunning bouquets of red roses, large snuggly teddy bears, and boxes and boxes of chocolates that will put anyone into a chocolate coma. Love is in the air on this day... and so is hate. For those awesome single people out there, we can't blame them for hating this holiday. Hell, there are even couples that find Valentine's Day to be utterly stupid, because they share the love they have for each other every day already. No need to make a holiday for it.
