Changing Everything Part 1: He Left Me for the D
Sometimes, we want things out of people that they just can't give. This can take many forms. Time. Money. Affection. Respect. We end up feeling incredibly hurt by their lack of ability to meet our standards. Now, sometimes those standards are really high and just flat out fucking ridiculous. You can't expect someone to do everything, or anything, for you and you give nothing back. This is not the way the world works. Even a gold-digger has to give up the vagina. Nothing is free. This includes friendship. Everyone comes with a price. While that price may not be monetary, it still exists. For most people, this price is some characteristic we find annoying or offensive. But, in order to maintain these friendships, we put up with their bullshit. The real question is, at what point is the price too high?

Showing him you're hurt will only show him that he still has control over your heart and your feelings. What I want you to do instead is to look in the mirror and look at how beautiful and amazing you are. Your eyes are bright, your hair is great, and you have a smile that can light up a room. Good, now that you see your outer beauty, let's talk about your inner beauty. What are a couple things that you love about yourself? Are you caring, generous, polite? Are you driven, motivated, or hard working? Once you've noticed your inner and outer beauty, you're ready to make your statement. Call up some friends, make some plans, and open up your closet. Make tonight the first night of the new you. Put on something great, spritz on your favorite perfume, and do something new to your hair. Wear makeup if you'd like, too. I know you're probably thinking, "What's this going to help with?" It helps by getting your mind off him, by giving you a well needed time out with your friends, and it helps by giving you an opportunity to learn more about yourself without the distraction of your idiot ex-boyfriend. If he calls while you're out, don't pick up the phone!! No texts, no calls, no excuses. You don't need him. Avoid his lies and his tricks to get back with you. He knows if he says or does a certain thing, you'll go right back to him. So don't give him the satisfaction. Make him see you don't need him or his lies. You deserve to laugh and be happy, you deserve love, and you deserve to shine brighter than you ever have.

Okay, so we've all had one of those "besties" who turned out to be the absolute worstie. Think you haven't? Think again. Unless you've had a limited amount of buddies in your lifespan who treat you like a true friend would (which is very, VERY unlikely), you've had a "Friend" who was downright phony to the core.

What Is a Catfish on the Internet and How to Spot One
A "catfish" is defined as a person creating a false online identity; false pictures, false profile. There is a difference between a fake profile and a catfish though. Many marketers use fake profiles to brandish "likes," "shares," "retweets," etc., and generally, a fake profile won’t reach out to anyone. But a catfish is someone who uses that fake persona to either sell a service (these conversations are usually initiated by "bots," or programs with pre-programmed messages, to a real user) or a real person, essentially present themselves falsely to garner attention, friends or romantic relationships in an internet setting.
