Friends with Selfishness
I had this friend for the most part of high school. She got close with one of my close friends and then I became friends with her. I didn’t know how I felt about her during the beginning of freshman year, but I warmed up to her. So did my other friends. The five of us were a group. Always together and always talking. We even have a group name, we called ourselves the ‘strawbabies’. We didn’t actually call ourselves that, but that’s what our group chat was called.

Exes and Oh's: Part 15
MARLEY Normally, I slept soundly, peacefully, with no worry in the world. Tonight was different. I could feel it in the air, in my gut. Something was wrong. Tired of tossing and turning, I got up from my bed and grabbed my robe, snuggling into the thick fabric as I exited my bedroom and headed towards the kitchen. The house was dark, but I knew my way around enough to reach the refrigerator unscathed. While I decided on whether to make some hot chocolate or tea, I heard my phone ring in my bedroom and glanced at the time on the clock above the fireplace. It was two in the morning.

Three Years
The memories of us feel like poison in my veins, but the pain I feel at the thought of you does not matter because I still love you. You may be gone now and on to someone new, but the nostalgia of the smell of your hair and the touch of your fingertips still sends a chill from the back of my neck to the tip of my spine. Sometimes, I swear, I smell your cologne on my sheets or feel your hands on my skin. Thoughts of you plague my mind 24 hours a day—when I sleep, I dream of you and when I wake, I think of you.

A History of Transgender People, Volume I
Important note: Historiography is a living science. It evolves with the sensibilities of those who practice it and the cultures that consume it. It's the science of how we do history. Originally, the idea posed by the Greek historians was to pass on a story that was engaging and compelling and they would use that story to tie in a moral. Obviously, modern historians tend to shy away from this model in favor of a more rigorously sourced and researched method that is much harder to read.I'm not a professional historian, and as such, I'm not bound to the state of the science for the sake of my professional reputation, such that it is. So I am free to tell an engaging story at the expense of not having ready access to primary sources, because again, I'm a hack. And because I'm a hack, I'm going to try to make sure that you won't get bored of my writing. So I'll keep it relatively short, tell one story, and break my combined knowledge up into ten sections.

10 Relationship Podcasts That Can Help Solve All Your Love Problems. Top Story - July 2018.
It's super normal for couples to butt heads and disagree on certain things in a relationship. You're definitely not the only one getting into arguments with your loved one; even I deal with so many difficult situations with my boyfriend. We'll start to argue every now and then, but it used to be much worse in the past. The two of us would strongly disagree on things and it would often take a few days to solve the issue. There were times when we didn't even solve anything but pushed it to the side, which was something we shouldn't have done.

The Mirror (Part 2)
I woke up to loud banging on the door. The police were there again. That must have meant I drank myself into oblivion again and he tried to call. I groaned a little and then got up, answering the door in just my t-shirt. "What is it this time?" I know I'm being more rude than necessary, but come on. It's... Oh. It's 1:30 PM. I didn't go to work after sending out... something about text messages? I don't know what he's talking about, but I assure him that I'm fine, I have no desire to hurt myself. That I just had a bit too much to drink and was probably acting irrationally.
