Know Yourself, and Your Truth

Know Your Path, Walk Your Path

By Kaylon ForsythPublished about a year ago 4 min read

We are currently living in a world, that is filled to the brim with a wide variety of uncertainties, and with that being the case, it can be difficult to truly have a sense of direction. I have been facing uncertainty myself, in my own life, in different ways, but uncertainty, all the same, however, the one thing that has kept me in a state of hopefulness, is my faith in as well as my connection to God.

It is very easy to lose your way in this world, especially when we are doing things, that do not align with our highest good. Everyday life can be like a maze, that seems to have no end, but in my experience, when you place your faith in god, everything else seems to fall into place, at just the right time, for all the right reasons. The constant bombardment from social media, or cell phone notifications, news stories about war breaking out, senseless crimes being committed, and all sorts of atrocities taking place, it is enough for anyone to feel overwhelmed, but when you choose to put god first, it makes life so much easier to deal with, because it helps your perception to begin redirecting into one that encompasses and sees, the good that is truly present in this world, sometimes, it just has to be awoken from it's slumber.

I have found that my personal journey has been filled with distractions of all sorts, yet, despite these challenges, I proceed to walk to the best of my ability, in alignment with gods will, and in so doing, it has brought peace to my spirit, and a sense of spiritual stability, that I would not be able to find, in any other way. I suffer from mental illness, which at times, likes to rear it's ugly head, in what certainly seems like attempts to dismantle my sense of peace, which I nearly always have present within me, but I also have come to the realization that God never puts more on my shoulders, than I can handle.

I have chosen to see the trials which I face personally, as challenges that I am meant to overcome, as a process of refining my spirit, to become more whole, and capable of living in this world, while remaining pure at heart, and by not allowing the distractions of this world to fill my mind, and keeping my focus on my goals, I have managed to overcome the latest series of trials which have come my way.

I believe we have all heard the saying, "Life is what you choose to make it", and in my experience, this is incredibly true, for when we take the time to focus on what we do have, instead of what we don't, and show gratitude for these things, it creates a feeling of peace to begin emanating from ones spirit, creating a sense and feeling of wholeness, where nothing is lacking. Do not try to keep up with the world, and it's ever changing streams of information, instead seek to be your authentically divine potential, striving to be the best person you can, on a daily basis, and true happiness will be yours.

One of the reasons that the search for happiness has been so elusive, for so many people, in my opinion, and experience, is because it is sought after, in all the wrong places, because when people seek for that which their spirit yearns for, at first, when the spiritual eyes are still closed, the direction of the search tends to be in things that lie outside of oneself. I began looking inward for my purpose, when I became tired of the hopelessness that seemed to pervade the world in which I was living, and when I directed my attention on cultivating that which I found within myself, I began to feel a sense of true purpose, a depth of insight, and true meaning in my life, that I had not experienced on that level, ever before, since I was a child, and the worries of the world did not weigh on my shoulders.

The things we direct our attention towards, is the same direction our energy will flow in, so we must be mindful, and vigilant about what we choose to pay attention to. Thinking about all the things that we have to do, and allowing them to creep into our subconscious as worry in relation to the overwhelming nature of tasks that seem to be endless, instead of as simple challenges, that are meant to be overcome, and in the process, cultivating strength, resolve, mental fortitude, endurance, and resilience, is simply a choice that was made, due to not realizing that another way existed, that encompasses a perception of hopefulness, faith, and perseverance.

I choose to see the Divine, within everything around me, especially the people who come into my life, and in so doing, I am able to recognize their intrinsic value, that sometimes they can not recognize within themselves, due to being caught up in the way this world has been intent on causing us to function in.

It all comes down to a choice, and the more choices you make that are in alignment with peace, happiness, hope, and unconditional love, the more effects you begin to see from the culmination of a series of such choices can bring.

Don't allow yourself to lose hope, and don't let this world weigh you down, all you can ever do is your best, but your best can become even better, once you choose to embrace the potential that lies within you.

Brightest Blessings.
