Into The Shadows

Challenges Are Blessings In Disguise

By Kaylon ForsythPublished 8 months ago 3 min read
Belief Is Nine Tenths Of Reality

When I had my very first experience with mental illness, It made me very aware that there was so much to this world, than any of us had been taught to believe. I had a visual hallucination manifest in my bedroom, when I was 21 years old, and the feeling that came from this presence was completely dark, as was the voice that soon followed. The presence presented itself very much alike the character from the Grudge movie, the whispiness and motion as though suspended in invisible water.

I had a Major psychiatric breakdown in 2020, that led to me taking my natural curiosity for all things health optimising, to a whole new level, and that is when the Shadow work truly began.

When your psychological framework is completely shattered from not just the external challenges that life can bring, but more so by the challenges that can arise from within, it causes your perception of the world to drastically alter. You see the pieces of the person you used to recognize in the mirror, now broken on the floor, and it’s not simply about putting the pieces back together, but doing so in a way, that creates a stronger psychological foundation and overall structural integrity.

I have always possessed a natural innate curiosity and craving for the knowledge of that which pertains to not simply the spirit, but realizing the true and full potential of that which our spirits possess, since on a fundamental level, we are simply spirit presenting itself in a dense material representation of the essence which we are composed of on a spiritual plane of existence.

When you begin the process of truly undertaking the work that is composed of doing deep dives into your psyche, to not simply discover your shadows, but truly with the most sincere of desires and the purest of intentions, transmute those shadows into light, or perceived weaknesses, into great strengths from which you can draw when the moment calls for such necessity.

I have been diagnosed with Psychosis, and Schizophrenia, which were to a large degree, drug induced, as well as perpetuated originally from the trauma of losing my wife. At first I saw this as an illness, a weakness, a disability, and the inability to live a life that encompassed not simply independence, but true independent success. It was not until I starting going to therapy, and began doing research into those things which can have positive implications for those who suffer from any sort of health ailment, be it mental, or physical, that I discovered that what I thought I was suffering from, was actual a blessing in disguise.

I am able to take the information which has helped me so profoundly in my own healing, and offer it, free of charge to anyone else who may be going through the challenges that living with a mental illness diagnoses, can bring.

Taking a negative, and turning it into a positive is spiritual/energetic transmutation, and this can be done when you take the time to learn whatever lesson may be waiting for you on the other side of whatever challenges may arise.

Don’t ever think your alone, and in my opinion, don’t ever take a diagnosis of any kind as a death sentence, so to speak. With enough knowledge, and the right experience, I truly believe that anything can be overcome. You simply must possess the will to put forth, and the endurance to persevere.

Be The Change You Want To See In The World.

Brightest Blessings.
