The ability to compare in many cases is useful - but not where we are dealing with the concepts of happiness and fulfillment. Because it's worth looking around - and we'll see someone who looks happier right away.

And when you do, look for the following 7 signs in your life, because they indicate that you are much happier than you think:

1. Do you do what you love and do it incredibly well?

The more you enjoy what you do all the time, the happier you will be.

We all have at least a few things that we do incredibly well. Find a way to do them more often and you will become much happier. And probably much more successful.

2. Do you have some really good friends?

The more true friends you have, the greater your subjective sense of well-being. When you double the number of friends, you increase your happiness as much as you increase your income by 50%.

Make friends outside of work. Make friends at work. Make friends anywhere. And most importantly, make true friends - and then your life will be much longer and happier.

3. Do you express your gratitude?

Happy people turn their full attention to what they have and not to what they don't have or what they lack.

A study conducted by psychologists showed that couples who constantly express their gratitude, help them to start positively every day. The authors of the study consider that gratitude is a kind of "accelerator" for a romantic relationship, which allows them to fly to incredible heights.

True gratitude reminds you that no matter how big your dreams and aspirations are, you have already accomplished a lot - and you should be proud of that.

4. Do you actively strive to achieve your goals?

The goals you don't want to achieve are just dreams, and dreams can only make you happy while dreaming (it may sound too philosophical, but it's still true).

But if you strive to achieve your goals, it can make you happy all the time. David Niven writes: "People who can say clearly what goal they are trying to achieve are about 19% more likely to feel satisfied with life and more than 26% more likely to have positive self-esteem. ".

5. Do you help other people?

Yes, an altruistic tendency has always been considered a positive trait. Psychologists point out that when we offer someone social assistance, this can have a much greater beneficial effect on us than on those who receive it.

Intuitively, we know this even so - after all, everyone knows that incredibly positive feeling when we help someone who needs help.

This not only increases our self-esteem but also, over time, reminds us that, compared to these people, we are still lucky. we already have.

Helping others will give you a good feeling about yourself and will also preserve your good self-esteem.

6. Do you work not only for money but also for creating memories?

Of course, money is important. Money allows you to get a lot. And I can help you become happier… but only to a certain extent.

New things and possessions always offer only a temporary increase in happiness - while they are new. But if you want to be happier continuously, collect better memories.

7. Aren't you particularly worried about what others think?

What others think of you (especially those you don't even know) shouldn't matter to you.

Live your life the way you want. Surround yourself with people who will support you for what you are and not for the person they created in their imagination.

Express your feelings openly, without fear of anyone or anything. Make true friends and don't lose touch with them.
