I was hoping that a woman would love me, even if she was blind.
Story of the year

Joseph Merrick from Britain was born in 1862 ...
From a natural father and mother, he had a brother and sister.
At the age of two years. He began to show symptoms of deformities and protrusions in the body, face, and neck.
The mouth, lip, and tongue swelled so much that it was difficult for him to speak, and from their size, he looked like an elephant and they called him ( Elephant Man )
As a child, he was the object of ridicule by ruthless people.
And the children were running away from him, throwing stones at him and making fun of his appearance ... In addition, they invented a painful rumor about him that his mother was assaulted by an elephant in the circus and therefore he was born in an elephant-like form, he ran to his mother and cried in her lap.
She loved him very much and provided him with kindness and tenderness. It was a haven for him ... When he was 11 years old, his mother died, leaving him to face the harsh world.... The embrace of safety and love is over.
His father was a drunkard and treated him harshly .. Then he got married, and his new stepmother treated him very badly, and he became homeless on the street ... He faced a harsh life. And then they put him in a homeless shelter. And his life became worse on the street. Back on the street again.
A circus owner saw him and took him and put him in a cage for people to watch ... And he began to envelop the cities. And the owner of the circus earned terrible sums .... And people during the show laugh at him, swear at him, throw stones and tomatoes at him, call him ( the freak), and then Britain stopped the circus of Freaks and he returned to the street again ...Until by chance he met a doctor named Treves, sympathized with him and offered his help to Joseph... At first, Joseph refused and then agreed after suffering from homelessness.
Queen Victoria heard about Joseph's suffering ... And she gave Dr. Treves all the powers to house him in a hospital in Britain. With all his comforts. And they provided him with a warm bed, hot meals, health care, and all his requirements.
All the staff at the hospital became close to him and loved him because he was an amiable kind, and wise person ... He was also good at Reading and writing at a time when Britain was mired in illiteracy ... He was very educated and an excellent reader and analyst of Shakespeare's novels. He wrote novels and poetry and made elaborate geometric figures ...
Intellectuals, nobles, and princesses came to visit him for his sweet talk, his diverse culture, and the sweetness of his soul ... He was transferred to the Royal Hospital following the recommendation of a princess who influenced him. It became the talk of the newspapers ...
This picture he shot a year before his death at the age of 27 ...
His end was sad ... They entered the room on him and he was lying on his back ... He could only sleep on his side because of the size of his head ... He lay on his back, suffocated, and died at the age of 28...
He died in 1890, and his kind, affectionate, and warm biography remains ...
He had one wish. He used to say ( I wish a woman would love me even if I were waterline) he died thirsting for a woman who reciprocated his feeling of love.
In 1980, he produced the film The Elephant Man tells his life story, the film was a success and was nominated for 8 Academy Awards.
And this is a picture of his skull after his death ...
