Nigerian influencer, content creator, and media personality Priscilla Ojo is doing a good job of making a name and brand for herself. She is one of the most recognizable Gen Z celebrities in the country today, and has been doing a remarkable job of creating buzz and bankability around herself, regardless of her last name.

As many people know, Priscilla Ojo is the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo - a woman who has been in this industry for many years and has built up a stellar name and career for herself. Because of this, a lot of Priscilla's success is often attributed to the already existing fame of her mother. Speaking during a new interview with The New Telegraph, Priscilla spoke about how those attributions make her feel, and also opened up about the best advice her mother has given her. Here's what Priscilla Ojo said.

During her interview, Priscilla Ojo was asked "For someone like you who has a popular figure as a mother, when you do somethings, people tend to ascribe it to your mother, how does that affect you?" She responded saying:

PRISCILLA OJO: I actually love acting and I feel like I have it in me. The reason why I have not rushed into acting is that I want to take my time and make sure it’s the right time. I don’t let negative comments get to me because if I have it in me it will show. I am always of positive vibes at every given time. I learned to ignore and not focus my energy on that. I focus that energy on making money, working. Sometimes they can work in a positive way because when people talk about you it means that you are important so I try to channel it into my brand, working and becoming the woman that I want to become.

"What is that key advice from your mom and how has it helped you?"

PRISCILLA OJO: Just be yourself and be true to yourself regardless of what people say. It’s who you are when people are not there is what is important. Asides from fame, media, who are you to people, do you show kindness? Do you help people? That is what is important and that’s why I am as humble as possible. Also, be classy, carry yourself with confidence and smile.
