Ava
I looked at the new school I was going to start attending. Steinfeild High School home of the otters.
It was brick brown building, the doors made of glass. The ground was clean no trash on it. There was a sign that read: Steinfeild High School. Home of the mighty Otters.
"New school new start?" I muttered. "I'll get bullied here too."
"Don't sound like a negative Nancy." Dad stated bouncing with excitement.
"Yea. You'll be fine." my mom said in a bubbly voice.
"Ok. " I said and followed my parents into the school.
"Now we need to get you registered and then you should be good." Mom said.
I looked around. Inside the school was clean too. I saw posters for the Homecoming game, Volleyball try outs and dance try outs. The bell rang signaling the end of class. Student started coming out of classes and going to the next. Many eyed me as they walked by me.
"Oh great we're lost." Dad said in a tone of frustration.
"Dad it on your right." i said looking at the sign that said front office.
"Ah thank you A." he said as he looked in the direction i was looking.
"No problem." I said and stayed outside of the office. I looked at the floor. I looked at what I was wearing. White tank top with black shorts and black vans. my hair was braided and over my right shoulder. i had a small nose piercing along with a daith piercing.
"A?" my mom asked.
"Yes?" I said.
"Would you happen to have your birth certificate?" Mom asked.
I handed her the purple folder that held important papers.
"Ah thanks A." She grabbed the folder and went back into the office.
I stood there back against the wall. I heard some voices getting closer.
"Dude! We're getting a new student. Cant wait to see who it is. Dylan what do think?" Voice one said.
"It whatever. It just another student to me. I don't care about it Josh." A voice I presumed to be Dylan.
"Oh well. Hope it's a girl! I could score with a hot lady." Josh said.
They almost passed me but they stopped.
"Who are you?" Josh asked me.
I looked up at him.
"I'm Ava." I said. He looked at me and his eye went wide. Before I could continue he ran. "Saw that one coming." I muttered but then I noticed that Dylan was still standing there.
"Ava right?" He asked.
He had short messy black hair. He had grey eyes and an olive tan. He was well built. I noticed a scar coming down his right arm. He was wearing black shirt with a basket ball on it black shorts and A pair of black Nikes.
"Yes my names Ava." I said looking at him.
"I'm Dylan. Nice to meet you." he said.
"Nice to meet you Dylan." I said. Why isn't this guy running at the sight?
He left after our short interaction leaving me confused. My parents exited the office at that moment.
"Lets go A. You start school in two days." Dad said.
I nodded and followed them out. We got in the car and left the school.
'Why didn't he run at the sight of my eyes? Why didn't he point them out and make fun of me for them?'
I looked out the window and took a deep breath.
Oh well he the first person to not run away or make fun of me. That's a start.
