We all have days when we really don't feel like anything and we would rather sit on the couch and watch a movie and relax than do something productive.

It's normal to have days like this, but what do we do if laziness persists and the "I don't feel like" reply inevitably comes up whenever we think of doing something or are asked to do something?

Here are 5 tricks, that will help you get rid of laziness and make you more motivated:

Try to figure out if it's really lazy or just feeling overwhelmed

Most of the time, productive and active people tend to say that they are lazy just because they take a break from time to time. Given that we live in an age of things being done quickly and agitation, it is not at all wrong to want to have a moment of respite.

It is even recommended to take a break, and guilt should be completely excluded from this equation. What do you want? To exhaust yourself, to lose your energy and enthusiasm, and to end up capping yourself for this reason or to take a break whenever you feel like you're on the ground, to gather a little and come back strong, ready for new challenges?

Try to balance these things, because most of the time it's not about laziness!

Make an inventory of your daily activities

Try to write down all your daily activities in a notebook or on the phone. If you notice that your day is completely covered, but you still feel that you are not doing your job and do not have the desired results, you are most likely facing a problem of self-discipline.

What could distract you so badly that you can't have time to finish everything you have to do? If it's just fun, the solution is simple: move them away from you or get away from them (because it can be anything from noisy colleagues to a coffee stain on the desk).

But there is also the option in which you do not like to do a certain thing and that is why you try to find any reason to get rid of it. For things we don't like and don't care about, finding motivation will always be a complicated, if not impossible, process.

Learn to appreciate your work

Many people end up frustrated because they feel that they are not doing enough or that they do not have a brilliant job.

It is important to set your priorities and expectations in life. After all, if you live with the impression that you only have to do revolutionary things, you will end up failing precisely because you put too much pressure on yourself.

Consider the pros and cons of your job and think carefully about what you want to achieve or where you want to go in life.

If your current job gives you the chance to evolve, grow, and always learn new things, then this should motivate you to achieve what you set out to do. On the other hand, if you are not satisfied at all and feel that you are wasting your time, then you are more likely to look for another job.

And no, don't apologize, do it now, not in five years, when you will be completely lazy because you did not have something to stimulate you in the right direction.

Create a set of rules

If as soon as you get home from work you sit on the couch, wasting hours on TV or scrolling through Facebook and you feel remorseful for postponing a bunch of tasks, it means you need to make a change in your life.

Try to set up a workspace, remove all tempting devices and do the job you set out to do. Or you can choose to read a book, go for a walk, go shopping or do any other activity that you have been postponing for some time.

Make a little order in your life. Determine clearly what are the important, urgent tasks that are the ones that can wait.

Check your progress

It is well known that laziness does not miss a chance to take control of you when it feels the slightest trace of vulnerability.

It's okay to make mistakes, get tired, or feel exhausted, and of course, it's more than okay to want a moment of respite. However, it is not at all okay to let yourself be controlled by an unproductive state for your life.

Give yourself a few moments of relaxation, calm down, but always be ready to sit back at the starting line! And don't forget to keep track of your progress, whether it's a professional project, a new training program, or a book. Social media can be a great tracker in this regard because if you see more people that you have made a commitment to, chances are you will feel more responsible and motivated.
