Nigerian comedian and skit maker Isaac Olayiwola, popularly known as Layi Wasabi, has built a reputation for delivering humor in the most unexpected ways. His unique style and comedic persona have won the hearts of many, making him one of the most beloved content creators in Nigeria. But what does he personally find funniest about himself?

Speaking with Saturday Beats, Layi Wasabi shared an amusing detail about his own appearance that never fails to make him laugh:

LAYI WASABI: I can’t pinpoint the funniest thing about me, but one aspect that always brings a smile to my face is my unassuming height. People are often surprised by how tall I am when they meet me in person. It’s hilarious because this ‘unexpected’ height reflects in my skits, particularly in the way I sometimes position my body for comedic effect.

For fans who may have only seen him on screen, it’s always a shock to realize just how tall he is in real life. His height plays an unintentional role in his comedic delivery, making his exaggerated movements and expressions even funnier.

Beyond his own humor, Layi Wasabi also offered words of encouragement for those going through tough times. In a world where many turn to social media for entertainment and distraction, he emphasized the importance of finding joy in everyday moments.

LAYI WASABI: There are countless ways to lift your spirits when you’re feeling low. You could check out my Instagram page or Kiekie’s for a dose of fun. There’s so much content out there to brighten your day—just go out and find what makes you happy.

His message is a reminder that sometimes, a simple scroll through the right content can be the perfect pick-me-up. With the vast number of creators putting out engaging and funny videos, there’s always something available to bring laughter when it’s needed the most.

In addition to discussing his own comedy, Wasabi shared his excitement over attending a recent Nigerian Idol press conference. While there, he had the opportunity to meet some of the show’s stars and reconnect with a musician he deeply admires.

LAYI WASABI: Meeting the stars was definitely a highlight for me. I am a huge fan of the new judge, Iyanya, and it was wonderful to see him in person again. The passion of the team behind *Nigerian Idol* is commendable.

His admiration for Iyanya, a former contestant turned judge, speaks to how talent and passion continue to shape the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

Layi Wasabi’s words reflect his vibrant personality—one that thrives on humor, appreciation for others, and spreading positivity. Whether through his unexpected height, his hilarious skits, or his encouragement to seek out happiness, he continues to make an impact on his audience. So, next time you need a laugh, take his advice: find what makes you happy!
