Ethnic Qarsherskiyan Community Harassed By White Supremacist Internet Trolling Ring
In the small town of London, Ohio many members of the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community are in distress after threats and the spread of harmful misinformation about the community online. Qarsherskiyan reporter Tatiana White wants to get to the bottom of this and figure out what's happening in her community.
Many people have seen posts made online by internet trolls falsely claiming that the group of multigenerationally mixed race families with roots in colonial America were a "fantasy identity" or false claims that the identity was newly invented in 2023 or 2024. These claims are not just wrong, they are harmful to the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community, as hundreds of people have seen these posts on social media, believing them and sharing them, spreading harmful misinformation that has caused members of the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community to be harassed and even some reported receiving death threats. Internet trolls have tried to mess with members of the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community and undermine the pride that some mixed race individuals had in their unique and intersectional identities. A variety of false claims ranging from their being criminals who are in charge of the whole community to the community not even existed have been made in posts circulating the internet as people share misinformation they believed without fact checking on social media. The origins of the misinformation seems to be from a small group of Internet users who have been tied to several accounts on Stormfront and other social media websites used for spreading hateful rhetoric and White supremacy. Some of them have impersonated members of the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community and made controversial statements on the internet and then used this as forged evidence to try to smear multiple social media users from the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community, with victims of these defamation campaigns and libel-filled posts including members of the Napper, White, and Whitelow families of Madison County, Ohio and some of their descendants living across the USA.
The Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community is a real group people with mixed race heritage and it's essential to clarify some misconceptions about its structure and history. Contrary to claims of Internet users not familiar with or from the community, the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community does not have a centralized leadership or a single leader. It's a community that has evolved organically, with individuals sharing a common heritage and cultural identity.
The claim that a registered sex offender is "the face of the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community" is false and was made up by trolls on Reddit and other social media platforms. Robert Christian McCoy doesn't identify as Qarsherskiyan and never has been involved in the community. He typically identifies as mixed race or White, and hasn't been involved with the community in any way other than just being a descendant. His actions or views do not reflect or represent the Qarsherskiyan community at all, no matter how many non-Qarsherskiyan internet users pretend to be "official Qarsherskiyan leaders" and post photos of him claiming he is their leader or friend. It's worth noting that the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community doesn't have leaders or a centralized authority structure. Additionally, it's important to clarify that there are no convicted sex criminals who are prominent members or influencers within the community. The community is made up of individuals with a shared heritage, and it's essential to respect their identities and boundaries.
Some individuals have been harassed and targeted, with threats to their lives sent on social media due to false claims that they are leaders of the community within posts full of harmful misinformation trying to demonize the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community as a whole. Brennan White, in particular, is not a leader of the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community and has never claimed to be a member of the community. He is a content creator with a small following on YouTube and Instagram who makes lots of videos about the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community, which he is a part of. In fact, contrary to claims made by anonymous internet users attempting to defame and dehumanize the Qarsherskiyan people, the term "Qarsherskiyan" was coined in 1991, and it isn't known who in the community first invented the term, but it was long before Brennan's birth in 2005, let alone his involvement with the community. The term gained traction online in late 2019 and early 2020, thanks to various Ethnic Qarsherskiyan internet users who used it to describe themselves and their heritage. Brennan White didn't start publicly identifying as Qarsherskiyan very openly or often until much later, around 2024. Before that, he was referred to as Qarsherskiyan on the internet in posts and videos by others, including relatives and friends in videos on social media, but he did himself identify as Qarsherskiyan on his own platforms. It's crucial to recognize and respect the community's history and the individuals who have contributed to its growth and identity.
The Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community is a mixed ethnic or heritage group, and it's essential to understand what they are and aren't. Contrary to some claims made by people not from the community, the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community doesn't identify as Saponi, Lumbee, Indigenous, a Native American tribe, an independent country, Louisiana Creole, or a religious group or spiritual movement. Instead, it's a community comprised of extended families with multigenerational mixed-race origins, bound together by parallel histories, culture, and heritage. This community is made up of individuals with diverse ancestral backgrounds, and their identity is rooted in their complex and rich family histories. While it is possible that one person from the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community might be related to one racial or tribal community, be it as a distant descendant or as an accepted member, the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community is about embracing and celebrating their mixed-race heritage, rather than claiming affiliation with a single specific ethnicity, nation, or identity. By understanding and respecting their self-definition, we can appreciate the beauty and diversity of their community.
It's essential to understand the origins and meaning behind their name. The community acknowledges that the term "Qarsherskiyan" did not exist before 1991, and it was specifically created in that year as a label to encompass multigenerationally mixed-race families and American Atlantic Creole descendants who sought to define their unique identity. The term was intentionally crafted to provide a sense of belonging and self-expression for individuals who didn't fit neatly into existing racial or ethnic categories. It was meant to be an inclusive term, embracing the complexities and richness of mixed-race heritage, particularly for those with tri-racial or American Atlantic Creole roots who are not a member of another organized and named community such as the Melungeon community or the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. The creation of the term Qarsherskiyan in 1991 marked a significant moment in the community's history, as it allowed individuals to reclaim and celebrate their diverse ancestry. Over time, the term has evolved to encompass a broader sense of community and shared identity, but its core purpose remains the same: to provide a name and a sense of belonging for those who identify with this unique mixed-race experience. The Ethnic Qarsherskiyan community is built on this foundation, and it's essential to respect and understand the context and meaning behind their name.
