End Animal Cruelty Now

Animals Deserve More Respect And Kindness Than They Receive

I am deeply disturbed by the horrors which occur all over the world associated with the barbaric practice of testing medication and products on defenseless animals. It is far past time for this inhumane practice to stop. We as a society should have evolved enough to understand how unnecessary and cruel using animals to test the safety and effectiveness of products is. To continue this method is not only cruel but ignorant. We should seek to rise above the archaic ways and implement kinder, more intelligent, and enlightened methods and practices in science and other areas where animals are an element.

Animal cruelty has always been difficult for me to accept. I can’t stand the idea of any animal suffering needlessly. Society has advanced significantly over the decades, and with those advances has come the understanding of how nonverbal creatures understand and experience their environment. We now know nonhuman animals can experience a wide range of emotions. They can experience joy, excitement, frustration, anger, and fear. These discoveries should lead to a major adjustment in the way animals are treated in every setting.

The responsible response would be to research how to minimize suffering and not exploit defenseless, innocent creatures by using them for cruel and pointless experiments which cause them unimaginable pain, suffering, and immense fear. How are we not better than this blind cruelty in such an advanced society? Animal testing is no longer required to test the safety and effectiveness of a product or newly developed drug. Experiments in the modern world have no purpose outside of torturing animals who have no control over what happens to them. When the animals' bodies can no longer withstand the torture, researchers often abandon them. In complete honesty, I want to find a way to end this savage practice. I want to stop talking about the topic and take action. While we continue to talk and not take action, animals continue to suffer horrible pain and fear. We need to take action for their sakeseems and stop the needless suffering. It causes me physical and mental pain to hear about the latest sadistic experiments. The details of those experiments are always in my mind, haunting, torturing, and taunting me because I am only one person and do not have the connections or status required to make a significant impact. The experiences of the tortured, abused, and neglected are seared on my soul, a permanent, painful scar I can never lose. It often feels like the ghosts of the tortured and neglected attach themselves to me. Their pain and fear permeate into my bones. I can never outrun bury, or throw it off

For most people, it seem they can dismiss the images and stories of the horrific cruelty which surrounds us. They can ignore the suffering animals endure at the hands of sadistic “scientists” using animals for experiments which have no scientific basis and do not result in the advancement of our understanding of science. I do not understand how any person can subject animals to such unimaginable suffering without even an ounce of compassion. How do they sleep at night, look at themselves in the mirror, or justify their actions? They need to be held accountable and severely punished for their actions. This needs to end NOW.

Will you join the fight? Use your voice and platform to advocate for the silent, defenseless animals being exploited for the profit of pharmaceutical companies and cosmetic companies. One change I have made is I only purchase and use products certified to not be tested on animals. I have changed my purchasing habits to only buy and use products that are certified not to be tested on animals.

That’s all for now, I’m just here trying to change the world one story at a time!
