Dreaming to Awakening

Dun Dun Na Nun!!!

I would love to say that I'm joking but I'm not. Well... with the dramatics, I am being extra, but for the topic of discussion, I'm so forreal.

As I'm standing in front of the table I'm vending at, a woman comes over, slowly scans my creations, gets close to me and stares through my eyes. I've always loved a good staring contest, so I accepted the challenge and stared back waiting to be put on to what was happening.

After about 20 seconds she smiled and said, "I was just looking to see what goes on in that mind of yours."

That moment was on 8:8:2020 at an event I was tabling at. It always makes me smile when I reflect on it. I'm like, "Lady, I don't think you really want to know."

My mind, dreams and imagination have always been quite wild, vivid and colorful. I just finally said "F" it, surrendered and started putting them into form over the last two years.

I've lost too many juicy, transformative ideas, visions and downloads due to fear. Now, lot's of creative babies I conceived in my mind have been born through other folks. If you've read Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, you know what I'm talking about.

That's what happens when you allow fear to become bigger than it needs to and swallows your heart vs. what it's intended for which is to feed you helpful information. You miss out on opportunities. Opportunities that expand you and free you. Opportunities that may change other people's lives.

It's taken me awhile but I'm finally getting it. Matching my desire to express with the actual action of doing it. It's crazy because I've taken some pretty bold leaps in my life, so even I was surprised when it came time to birthing certain visions, how I delayed and delayed until the energy around it was gone...OR...I would simply dismiss it and "be busy" with something else. #FEAR

The cover image of this story is the evidence needed for my mind to believe that, in the thick of self-doubt, I can push through fear and bring my inner world to life. I needed this proof desperately after years of abandoning myself and my dreams over and over again.

Like I said before, I've taken some bold leaps but they weren't leaps that exposed my depths.

Well, those days are over.

I'm reclaiming every speckle of dream I've slept on or pushed away. Starting with these little celestial Nubian beings. I call them..... :::Starseed Babees::: 9D Afro-futuristic Dreamcatchers:: A 9D Afro-Futuristic Lovecraft.

Here's the story....

::::::::::::::::::::THE DEEP DIVE DID IT::::::::::::::::::::::

So I've been on a real intense self-healing, self-exploration and self-discovery journey for the last 6 years doing all that deep soul work.

Working through soul lessons, healing trauma, ancestral imprints, inner child wounds, old belief systems, communing with my shadow, ego death, mirror work, learning how to transmute lower vibrational aspects of myself, subconscious re-programming, soul retrieval and so much more.

Yeah, dat real deep dive.

And the deeper I went inside myself, the higher the consciousness I accessed within me. I'll spare you the details of my journey for now, but what I will say is that I tapped into a level of awareness in myself that was needed in order for me to move forward in my truth, express my highest potential and be the best human I can be for this planet.

At this point in my life my contribution to Mama Earth looks a lot different than what it has in the past. It's more like, me needing to stop abandoning myself, be who I came here to be and start creating the visions in my soul.

And one of these visions is the crafting of :::Starseed Babees:::

::::TO INFINITY AND BEYOND::::

Since childhood I've always believed we each had a unique gift that could save the world. A superpower if you will. Of course in my younger mind those superpowers looked more like what I saw in movies and cartoons.

Super-speed:::Super-strength:::Telepathy:::Telekinesis:::X-ray vision:::Invisibility:::::::: You get it.

Actually, between me and you, I still believe it. But it looks different than what my inner kid saw.

Super-strength can be when your soul is pulverized to bits, you retrieve those pieces, mending them back together and you keep going as if you were untouched.

X-ray vision can look like choosing to see through the illusions, delusions and lies that are right in front of you which illuminate the truth...which frees you.

Telepathy can look like calling that person you are thinking about and finding out they were just thinking about calling you too.

Invisibility can look like respecting yourself, saying "NO" and having solid boundaries.

Dammit! My inner kid wanted to turn the lights off with my mind, walk through the walls, soar from tall buildings, and defeat the evils of this world with the expansion of my light force field...

Not in this dimension baby.

Anyway, in my deep dive I discovered I was my own kryptonite in many ways, and uncovered the many layers to the reasons why. I also discovered how we are all our own kryptonite, blocking ourselves from the most potent light and medicine the world needs.

Especially now, in this crucial time.

That light and medicine is YOU...Me...Who we are at the core. Our energy and vibration. Our ideas, visions and imagination.

Before the deep dive I couldn't see or believe how just simply being your most authentic self, expressing and following your heart, can be medicine for the planet and our human collective.

I'm sure this is because we were heavily programmed into believing, saving the world solely means Acts of Services OR that there is only one savior and we need to wait on that savior to save us.

But what I intuitively knew as a kid and confirmed through the deep dive is the fact that, every single one of us has a big something that adds to this collective and moves it forward.

Our job is to save ourselves from what's blocking that something. Become the something. No matter how unconventional, extra-ordinary or strange it is. While keeping our morals and values in tact of course. The number #1 rule is always, "Do no harm."

Our uniqueness matters and is needed....and now.

::::WIRED DIFFERENT::::

So with this background information, you kind of get a feel that my mind has always been on some other ish. And if you are like me, I'm sure you can relate, that there's always been a hyperawareness of your own mind and how it is quite different than the mind of the folks around you.

It's for a reason. You are wired different for a reason. Our differences adds flavor, color and diversity to the planet. Just like the biodiversity in nature, it creates beauty and balance.

There are a lot of the same trends, concepts, personalities and agendas that are re-cycling in the masses. And there is a deep need for innovation, originality, individuality and eccentricity.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's the weirdo's time! And real weirdos along with the regular-weirdos who don't think they're weirdos will save the planet!

Side-note: when I say save the planet, to me this simply means restore the harmony and balance of everything co-existing. Clearly things down here on earth have been one-sided, linear and manipulative for a very long time.

But let me get back to the story before this turns into a whole motivational transmission. Where was I again???

:::::::::::::::THE STORY WITHIN THE STORY:::::::::::::

My imagination is everything to me. Our ability to imagine is so beautiful and powerful. Not only do I get to escape into some really cool places when I need a getaway for $free.99, I also get to create what I see. Sometimes to the exact.

I mean, everything we see, use and consume was once in someone's imagination right??? That's so cool to me.

And I choose to use my imagination along with my heart's desires to see a world where there is harmony, peace, unity, sovereignty, self-sufficiency, trust, freedom of expression, freedom to BE who we are in our differences, respect, actualized potential, wealthy-health, safety, justice, prosperity, passing down renewed values and beliefs around quality of life and so much more....exhales.

Especially for my people. Black people.

And I don't think I need to explain why.

MY STARSEED BABEES ARE A MANIFESTATION OF ALL OF THE BACKGROUND STORY + MY IMAGINATION.

They represent a weaving of the past, present, and future. Honoring our ancient star lineages, bloodlines and civilizations... Symbolic of us seeds here now doing the transformative work, being the change, reclaiming our villages, anchoring in new codes, holding higher timelines in our bodies and living our Ancestars dreams.... While imagining a future of babies/seeds to come who will experience a "Golden Age."

A time when peace, harmony, unity, stability, sovereignty, individuality, collaboration, prosperity, royalty, abundance, higher consciousness and a higher vibrational love is fully anchored, lived and experienced on Mama Earth.

A generation of children who will be fully aware of who they are, their multidimensionality, their gifts and superhuman abilities....their role on this planet and rooted in their power and worthiness.

A generation that births future generations who are born into freedom from racism, sexism, classism, all of the other ISMS, generational traumas and toxic socializations that are still a reality for us today.

Just as the lived experience of slavery is shared with our generation through story-telling now, the future babies will only know our struggles and reality as a story of the past.

Can you imagine?

That thanks to all the intention, energy, investment you put in, healing yourself, your activism, being yourself, activating your DNA, walking in your truth, your contribution to humanity, standing for something, tapping into your superpower and transforming everything around you... that black futures and a future timeline of humanity as a whole will experience everything you fought for!?! I mean, look where we are now...Living Kings's, X's, Tubman's, Garvey's, Park's and other's dream....

Just imagine!

:::::::::::OK ON TO THE ACTUAL STORY NOW:::::::::

The vision for these Babees came through a dream in June 2019. I was so afraid to create them because that would require me to speak more about my beliefs and values, which is not an easy thing to do when you're so used to censoring, editing and suppressing yourself so you don't make others feel uncomfortable AND so you won't get rejected from your tribe.

Those were three big reasons why I initiated a deeper level of healing for myself in 2016. I needed to end that self-abandonment cycle.

All 2019 I had been experiencing major breakthroughs and at a point in my healing journey where I was learning more about my WHY from a much higher perspective.

To make a long story short, I reconnected with an inner truth that resonated in every fiber of my being and expanded my consciousness immensely.

This expansion, along with my active imagination, opened the portal for an intense dream to come through.

I was nudged to give the dream a shape.

I delayed for a long-time because, well, self-doubt...which is another reason I initiated a deeper level of healing for myself.

September 2019, I was signed up to table at an annual event I participate in, #myhairmyhealth. An event that promotes wellness and self-care through the lens of black hair care.

I usually was invited as a workshop leader to teach something health-related but this year I signed up to table and share my art. I had some creations I planned on selling, but my inner guidance was loud encouraging me to change my plan and promote my :::Starseed Babees:::.

I still had not created them. Still delaying and still caught up in my mind about how I would explain where these Babees came from. Especially at an event that had nothing to do with art, dreams, alternative perspectives or higher consciousness.

I just knew there wasn't a market for me there, but I also knew I had to follow through on my guidance so that I could prove to myself that I've grown from the self-abandonment wound.

This was an internal struggle for me all the way up to the night before the event. That's when the different hairstyles vision came in so that it fit with the event's intention and mission.

And that's also when I was inspired to create these....

Yep, you read that right. The night before.

I only had time to make 4 of them. Then threw this flier together to have some sort of info on the table.

I know I know, crazy right?

The morning of the event I was talking serious mess to myself for procrastinating. If you're a Virgo, you know what that inner dialogue sound like.

So before leaving the house I gave myself a pep talk that went a little something like this:

"You're doing this. No you are not fully prepared. Yes you waited until the last minute. I forgive you. I forgive you for not believing in yourself sooner. But I'm more proud of you because you're doing it. So let's do this!"

I ended up selling 2 of the 4 at the event.

Just imagine how I would've felt if I allowed fear to be bigger than what was in my heart...AGAIN!

Definitely not as fulfilled and free as I felt after selling half of my inventory and sharing my story. It's the little wins that count.

This little win set me up to table at an even bigger event across the country in ATL. The same event I mentioned in the beginning of this story where the lady stared into my mind....yea that one... I sold many more!

And soon after, I built even more courage to display my Babees in two shops in my hometown.

So yes, I finally did it!

Gave birth to the Babees. Which will forever symbolize me breaking free of my own limitations, resistance and fears. Creating a vision that was in my soul.

Also, creating something tangible that means something for somebody else. That is valued, appreciated and can be passed down in their lineage.

This was all just the catalyst to the next level in my journey of embracing my differences and uniqueness. A journey of Self-discovery. Self-acceptance. Self-trust. Self-expression.

Since then, I've mustard up the courage to reveal a lot more about myself. Truly feeling that the craziness of the deep dive was all worth it. I also acknowledge and very ok with the fact that this as an ever-evolving journey as well.

But let me end this before I keep dragging on. Before I go, I encourage you to go look into Afro-futurism if you are not familiar with it. I'll save my experience of discovering this world for another post.
