I remembered meeting wavy on a game called Conan exiles. When we first met each other it was kinda awkward between us; neither of us didn't know how to start the conversation with each other, but slowly soon we got to talking. Found out that we both was interverts and didn't like being around people. As the days turns weeks and weeks turned into months. I got very comfortable around him in the party when it was just me and him.

Slowly we revealed each other past of relationships, family issues, and daily life that we both struggle with everyday. So as I got to know Jalen when he tolde his real name; I found out that he has chemo cancer when he was younger. It caused him to stop growing at a young age where people now think he is kid because of his shortness and voice. Due to this he had troubled getting relationships where the girls couldn't be with him because of his condition.

I soon found out that the doctors that treated him didn't believe he would make it in his twenties. They doubted him except for one nurse. Despites the chances of him not surviving that long; she had faith in Jalen that he would overcome this obstacle, and he did. When visited the doctors again there was no sign of it nowhere. This was a huge relief on him and his family.

The first thing he did was to find the nurse who helped and believed in him through the process of recovery; unfortunately though she pasted away and that hit Jalen hard. So after hearing this story from him; I soon find out two years knowing Jalen his cancer came back due to stress and worrying. It was like time froze for me when I heard it came back; I could hear the defeat and sorrow in his voice.

I felt powerless; like I want to help him but we are so far away from each other in states. The only thing I could do is comfort him on the phone. It wasn't easy, some days he wouldn't answered my phone calls or texts and I would fear the worse that my now best friend past away and I couldn't do nothing about it. Luckily he would send a short text to let me know he still kicking. So a whole year I would wait for him to call or text when he won't to get someone off his chest, and I would listen without interruption as he lay everything out on the table while I try by best to give some advice to handle the situation.

So as that year past he started being himself again dispite the cancer still there. I soon realized that the past four years how strong jalen is in body and mind after life kept trying to bring Jalen down in defeat, but he wouldn't let it. He kept on pushing forward as everything and everyone try to make his life miserable. I always thought if I was put in that position; could I be able to handle it like he did, and the answer to that is no I couldn't. Despite everything I went through my life; it made me realized how blessed I am and how I wasn't appreciating life to the fullest.

So to Jalen my best friend and brother; I'm happy that you walked in my life when my world was in darkness too.You picked me up and help find myself as I returned the favor and helped you through your crisis. I pray to god that one day we meet each other and be friends until the afterlife start calling us. So to Jalen I dedicate this story to you after everything happened to you. I wish to be by your side until the very end of our adventures. So let's make more memories to tell our future children and grandchildren of the life of wavy300 and divinity_gotheek.
