Ebony Legion: Untold Secerts

Sometimes I ponder about things back in the past that I could of done right that would have not led to this point right now.

"Rustle, rustle"

Turning over on the stack of hay I'm lying on, I let out a big sigh as I thought about the argument I had with my dear wife. The war between Ebony kingdom and the elves.

I Told her to end this war between them; as it went on for the past seventy years since ours sons was murdered by some rogue elves back then. I understood were she is coming from; it ain’t easy to not mourn over a lost of a child. The Injustice for our sons from the race of the nine councils; Did no good for us mourning parents, as they excuse the rogue elves from being a high status and us humans as low life.

This caused my beloved wife to be in enraged and threatened them that one day she will seek justice not only for her son's, but to all humans who has been done wrong by the council.

True to her words; She ended up making an army called " The Ebony Legion". and built a kingdom also called the "Ebony Keep". From there she wage war against the elves and any other race that tries to help defend them. Therefore a bloody seventy war went on for who yield first.

"Sighing" So this led me to the barn after getting kicked out of the bedroom when I tried to show her there many ways to go about this beside violence. I might be the strongest human alive, but I wouldn't dare raise a hand against raven or go against the kingdom I help built with her. At the same time I couldn't fathom harming the alliance of the race people since I hold history and friendship with them.

" So what should I do" I asked myself as I grabbed the necklace that dangling on my neck. This necklace was made by Luna; one of our only adopted daughter, but there is a secret I have been keeping from raven and the kingdom for the past twelve years.

They don't know that Luna is an elf that I taken in after finding her begging for food from a small village that would soon be in the crossfire between Ebony Legion and the Valkyries.

Since that day I felt nothing but guilt for lying to Raven and the grandkids, but also fear for Luna if her idenity was ever found out by Raven; I fear she would be furious and have Luna executed for be a spy.

"I'm getting to old for this; I need to figure out a solution that work out for both sides" I said to no one as I gaze at the beautiful night sky from the open ceiling.

" Hoot, Hoot"

Sitting up I turned towards the sound of the noise. In the corner of the room sat a snow white owl looking at me with intelligence eyes.

"What you doing over there buddy" I asked it as I stretched out a arm to it. Without hesitation the owl flew towards me and landed on my arm.

" Hoot, Hoot" the owl pitch to me as it cock it head.

" Are you here to comfort me in my worries" I asked while brushing hand against it head.

As I asked this; it looked at me with those orange eyes and placed a wing on my arm. Then all sudden I feel a gust of wind against my body as the owl turn it head to the window.

As I follow it gaze; I see a orange red light in the distance. So I get up while the owl still on my arm and walked to the window. Soon I realized in shocked and horror; the light I'm seeing in the distance is coming from the kingdom and it what was no light but fire set ablaze.

"Raven, kids" I yelled out as I burst through the barn door and start running to the kingdom.

" Please gods, let me make it in time" I thought in my head as I also noticed the owl is following me from the sky, but there no time to be distracted I need to get to the kids and Raven first. With that I forced my body to go faster down the dirt road.

"Hoot, hoot" I hear from the owl from above as it start flying away in the opposite direction.

" Thank you for warning me" I yelled to it and I could of sworn I saw it nod it head in response, but there no time to think; family first, questions later.
