Debunking Belief

Belief, one turns to belief because one thinks that belief is permanent, they can hold onto belief no matter what happens to it, they find immense security in belief and put it above all else.

Humanity has always done this, put what they believe before everything else, whether that is God, the Government, the Internet and whatever else one can think of, they put their faith in something else that is not them and because of this what they believe in has control over them, they sacrifice everything to make sure that this belief, this security is not lost. The amount of different beliefs and perspectives one has on life is so diverse that every single person see's it differently and because people see it differently and depend on their belief they do anything they can to keep others from disproving it.

Humanity, the race that puts what they believe before each other. A belief before a person and because we refuse to give up what we believe and refuse to understand, to be equal with another; we go against each other and this is where all conflict arises, firstly its experienced internally and then one starts to yell, get angry with another, violence grows into physical sensations, this turns to abuse, uncontrollable rage and action and then that eventually turns into war. Not necessarily in that order but that is the gist of it.

Well we see what the outcome of belief is but what is belief, as a fact?

Say that I have a friend who believes that God is real, although one can not see this God nor explain or comprehend it they say it is there and they refuse to give up this belief under any circumstance because they have turned this belief into something so extravagant, something that will save them from all suffering. They have made this God so important because they have gave their suffering so much importance that it needs to be removed. Because of this they go into a religious community where there is more like them, with the same belief and all they talk about is the God and nothing else but God.

So I have a friend who believes in God, they have made their whole life about this God because this God is the solution to all their problems. I do not follow my friend on this crusade and because of this I can no longer relate to my friend, connect with my friend or have anything in common with my friend, they only want to talk about their God. They have put everything into this belief and forgot what it means to be human, I cannot talk about sufferings, whats going on in my world, I cannot connect and have support from my friend because they keep saying God is the answer. God is the way, just turn to God.

So therefore the friendship, connection, relationship dissipates, the very thing that makes us human and brings real fulfilment and love into our lives.

Our emotions, our differences, our relationships, this is what we have in common, this is what we all have in common yet when there is belief we put that belief above this and refuse to acknowledge whats really here.

So the belief was put above all else and anything that threatens the belief is false, untrue. The one with belief cannot connect with humanity anymore, they have built a wall, made their focus so concentrated on their belief they refuse to acknowledge anything else. They have made their belief so important and only confide in others who have the same belief.

They have shut themselves off from humanity, put themselves into a box where no outsiders can connect with them unless it's regarding their God.

instead of trying to connect and understand each other we have built a wall between what we are and what we think.

The sun is shining, that is a fact, we know this. It's not an idea or belief, we simply see the truth of it. We cannot argue over this, so why does all conflict arise from belief? If it was truth it cannot be ignored and therefore conflict would not arise and humanity would be in harmony. We have turned to our ideas for security instead of loving our neighbour.
