Physical Therapy

As well as neurological, orthopedic, and rheumatologic conditions, their Physical Therapy Program is designed to treat other injuries and illnesses. To help patients/residents achieve their highest level of functional mobility, our Physical Therapy Team focuses on balance, gait, transfer training, safety, coordination and strengthening, and pain management. Furthermore, Bridgeview physical therapists assess wheelchair mobility and treat wounds.

Occupational Therapy

Patients/residents are taught how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) through Bridgeview Health Care Center’s Occupational Therapy Program. By working with patients/residents, therapists maximize their potential for relearning basic living skills such as eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, and cooking. Through therapeutic exercise and activity, our therapists help their patients/residents learn how to cope with losses in ADL and physical functioning.

• Activity of Daily Living (ADL) Retraining

Speech Therapy

We offer Speech Therapy services to help patients/residents overcome problems with speech, hearing, comprehension, expression, or swallowing. In order to help patients/residents better express their needs and improve communication, speech therapists evaluate, plan, and administer treatment for speech deficits, voice problems, hearing problems, and difficulty pronouncing words. Together with the Dietary Department, therapists address and improve concerns about feeding and swallowing.
