Because She Can
He touched the young girl on the shoulder and gently said “let's go. It's time.”
“Time for what?” she asked him bleary eyed from sleep.
“Your time has come. You've been waiting for this a very long time.”
“ Where are we going first?” she asked. “I'm still so sleepy.”
“We have a long trip ahead of us. I'll show you on the way. You will understand everything very soon.” the guardian answered as he hurried her on her way.
They moved quietly through the dark halls and corridors of what has been her home for as long as she could remember. The little girl stumbled along beside the man excited and still so sleepy. She had been in a wakeful sleep for so long. She had been created for a purpose. She knew this, but her true calling was never fully revealed. It held more meaning if the details were kept quiet until she was called she had been told.
This girl was not just any girl, she was one of few, a special type of angel. Her beauty was not physical but spiritual. Although to the human eye she would be a stellar beauty. Her eyes changed color with her mood from grey blue to emerald green. With long flowing mahogany hair that would shine with golden and silver streaks if the sun were to shine upon it. There weren't many of these angels because the circumstances that brought them into being were so rare. She was created to save the soul of a woman living a life that she was not predetermined to live.
On very rare occasions soul stealers, pirates; come along when a child is very young, sometimes only a few months old. These celestial thieves prevent the soul from remaining fully with the body and it actually forces them into a deep sleep. This leaves the mind open and tortured.
The only way to correct this is to follow the host until they are weakened and open to the spirit, their soul, their awakened self. The woman was not an evil woman; the thief holding her hostage stole her energy and she was easily manipulated. The thieves presence made the woman weak and because the thieves presence was unnatural it weakened along with the host. This was when the girl would be able to slip into the woman's body and save her. This was the girls calling.
He had finally called on her and she knew she was ready. Her dazed awakening slowly burned off and she began to move forward with purpose as if a force inside her was pulling at her heart and soul.
After a time they came upon a fork in their path. She was told to choose. She remembered this from her training. One path led her straight to her calling the other took her through all of the day to day struggles and heartache, joys and laughter of her host. She was allowed to choose how she would proceed. This was her only real choice. Everything beyond this choice was predetermined by fate. She had always known she wanted to take the path that led her through to see the challenges that she would face on Earth. The path to the right was shrouded in mist. The path on the left was a beautiful one with sun shining and flowers blooming. She took the path on the right. She knew that beauty was not just in outward appearance but found within. She moved meaningfully through the misted path on the right. She found silent beauty beyond the mist. There was peace and tranquility on this path. It was her presence on the path that made it beautiful. She was beginning to transfer her comfort to the woman.
From the beginning of her time she knew she wanted to see and experience it all. The good and bad, she knew she was strong enough to walk the path.
What she wasn't prepared for was the feelings. She strolled along slowly watching and feeling. She knew it would be difficult but she had never felt so much. The sadness held her in place and stunned her.
He was always there beside her as she took in the life she was going to live. Even though he was there, all the comfort he could offer was cursory. Even when things were at their worst. There were many times she thought that she could not take even one more heartache these times he carried her forward in his thoughts. Helping her press on. It was the only way. Even though she knew the outcome was her calling the struggle getting to the end was draining her spirit.
When she thought she could not take another step she stopped and looked into his eyes for the first time. Pleading with him. “Why must she suffer so? I ache for her.”
His only answer was that she must. And he prodded her to continue forward. Child he said sometimes the challenges are the triumph. Yes they are painful, but growth is sometimes.
She walked along hesitant to see anymore pain. She asked to stop a moment as they watched some of the happier moments. He smiled watching her eyes light up at the birth of the children and beautiful moments of joy spent with them. The birth of grandchildren and the joy of true love. There was good here and she took away strength with that knowledge and moved on.
She saw the joy and laughter that existed even in the most difficult moments and she saw the strength. In this strength she realized that she must, because she could.
The woman she was to become was seasoned in trial and struggle to help her become the voice of faith and love in her later days.
When they reached the end of the corridor he turned to her and held her gaze. “Young lady” he said in his most serious voice. “It is your time. I will leave you here. The rest of the way you walk alone. Always know that I am with you. When you call my name I will come, when your tears fall It is I that will wipe them, when you are too weak to walk, I will carry you. You will live through all that we have just witnessed. You will laugh and cry and feel and you will always know that i am here. The woman you are and the woman you are becoming are one in the same you are her and she you. You will not remember your time here but you will always know me.”
The angel then turned and with resolve stepped forward onto her chosen path. Her awakening was slow becoming the woman she was supposed to be was a test of faith. But her resolve was strong and though it was a struggle at times she moved on.
It is now your time to go and help her become stronger. You will help her discover a path that leads to happiness and love. This was the difficult part. For her and for the woman. There was painful separation and growth when they became one. They seemed to travel to depths of despair and heights of euphoria as the merged heart and soul. She could feel the woman's reluctance to step forward into the unknown, not knowing what was happening to her if she was to let go and fully submit to the process. This is where the girl knew she needed to be patient and allow her to learn slowly that she was safe and would be ok. She was able to be there to help through the most difficult and painful growing pains as the thief was slowly replaced by feelings of confidence and strength.
The woman was driving home when a blinding light hit her. It was quick almost like a pulse but for a second she was stunned. In that moment she felt a brief separation from herself. It wasn't painful but it was unsettling. She had been feeling not herself lately and this was just one more event that led her to believe she was on the verge of a change in her life.
The light came from a completely dark sky and left a feeling of hope in her heart that was undeniable. She had been feeling hopeless. Life just never really seemed to work out for her. She had always felt like she was missing something. Like she never really belonged. All of her relationships had been hurtful ones the most recent of which broke her heart daily and still she stayed allowing the hurt to bury her not feeling worthy of anything more.
When the light hit her there was a feeling akin to revelation, almost a welcoming of hope in her heart.
That night she slept for the first time in months. Real sleep not the wakeful sleep she was used to. She slept and dreamt of possibility and hope.
She felt at war within herself as she continued to move through her daily activities. She had a feeling of becoming complete. This was a different feeling for her and she made constant note of the changes she was experiencing. Her outward appearance never really changed but inside she felt like she was healing, slowly. Friends would say her eyes seemed brighter more green or blue at times and her usually mousy colored brown hair took on a shine that it never had before some seemed to think she had changed in some ways fallen in love maybe or a secret skin regime but her outward appearance reflected who it was she was becoming inside.
Thief of the immortal soul takes away the ability for the soul to protect the host and creates a void that allows the host to be manipulated and used for its own mischievous games. The pirate is not pure evil but a lost spirit looking for a shell to inhabit while haunting the earth. The host is left with feelings of loss and loneliness while under the control of the pirate. There is a constant feeling of striving forward for change and betterment only to be quickly batted down by disappointment and heartache.
The woman's truth is not fully realized until her angel finds her and removes the thief allowing her soul to fill her mind and spirit helping her to realize her calling. Only then can she experience true happiness.
The angel remained young only briefly while she followed the woman's path. as she progressed through the misted path she had chosen she grew with the woman, mentally and emotionally.
The sleep she had been experiencing before her guide woke her was the sleep induced by the captor of the woman's mind and body. While captive she was able to still communicate with her spiritual guide and this guide taught her what was needed to recapture her rightful place within the woman.
The growth each experienced as they moved toward completion was as painful for the girl as it was for the woman.
When the woman cried out for help the girl cried and her guides' words helped to carry them both forward, he was always there always listening and he helped her to gain strength for herself so that she could offer her strength to the suffering woman.
And so they marched forward each agonizing step bringing them closer to completion.
Although the young girl had walked through the path of the woman's life she would enter into the body at the same point in her life where she had been hijacked. It was a difficult thing, awakening a pirated soul. There were so many things to be taken into consideration and the women's safety was paramount so the entry must be exact. There was no room for error. The girl had received plenty of advance training in her state of wakeful sleep. The pirate was able to institute control over the woman but it was unable to keep the soul from being contacted while asleep.
This is where a guide is able to prepare the soul to wake when the time is right.
Knowing this you might think, why should the woman suffer when there is a process in place for reuniting body and soul. This major point is covered in the training. When the host is hijacked the immortal soul's sleep is immediate but it may take several months or even years for the guide to locate and contact the soul. The pirate has a unique mischievous way of hiding from the search which can throw the guide off for a time. It's as the host weakens that the guide is able to pinpoint where they are located.
The woman had been affected at a very young age. At 6 years old she was faced with a life altering change that brought her face to face with evil. The terror felt at that very moment left her weak and scared and this left an opening for the hijacker to move in and push her protector aside. As her immortal soul slept the woman was tested day after day by the harsh reality of life. No longer protected. The woman's carefree childhood became a scary place where she never really felt loved or protected. Trust was a foreign concept and though she tried continuously to connect with those around her she was never really able to fully open herself to being loved. She continued to shy away from family and friends.
As she grew up she became a loner hiding from any real connections. Other children teased and taunted her daily, for what reasons she never really knew. She was a kind girl, sweet and shy. Inside though she was tortured and she hurt. She shied away from people and groups. She never really even felt at home with her own family and even through it all she persisted with a kind outward demeanor and an inner strength.
As she grew she was able to somewhat find connections although somewhat tenuous these connections afforded her the ability to develop an inner strength that would serve her well later in life.
Always feeling alone even in a crowd, never really fitting in, feelings of self consciousness, loss and sadness following her everywhere that was the woman's life. She tried to find comfort and what she found were drugs and danger. She gravitated towards other troubled teens staying out late, drinking and smoking; causing trouble. The dark days of a teen and young adult were more freeing than you might imagine. As other teens were experimenting with young love and future plans she was getting involved in all manners of mischief. This was the atmosphere the pirate thrived in. She found her niche in friends that were all searching for the same things. They were drinking, doing drugs and sneaking out of the house at night. The pirate was controlling the woman's weakened spirit, she knew there was something wrong with her behavior but she had no idea how to control it, and in a way it felt kind of good, breaking free not caring about rules, not caring about getting into trouble. She had become part of a group. A feeling of acceptance she had never felt before made her continue acting out.
Her freedom allowing her to step away from pain and be set free was short lived because in truth she was a good girl and wanted to be good. Any acting out she did left her feeling hollow inside. Relationships were difficult for her to hold on to and always ended in her sadness. When she thought she had finally found someone who really seemed to understand her and accept her they married.
This would be the beginning of the end. The “love connection” she had felt was attraction to control. She had never felt wanted or needed. He wanted her, he needed her and because of this he controlled her. She had become a possession, the body hijacker could simply sit back now and enjoy the show as she was built up and torn down again and again. Her ability to protect herself had been stolen so young and she was at his mercy; both the pirate and her spouse. They used her. Together, without even knowing they were working together, they tore her down. Day by day they belittled her made her feel useless and sad and no matter how hard she fought to move forward they continued to drag her back.
However she continued to fight. She fought like hell day in and day out. There was something inside her that encouraged her and she would draw on her faith and she would fight. She was determined she would break free one day.
The something inside of her was the little girl following on a parallel path. Waiting for the moment to jump in and save her. The struggle continued day and night and as the woman weakened the girl was on the path growing stronger and closer to her. She was walking along watching each and every unkind word every violent outburst she sent her love and support.
There were many times the woman seemed to have hit the bottom beaten and battered within and still she somehow pressed on. These were times the little girl would seek her guide's presence and he would send a simple message. “It is not time yet”. And so they continued on with their fight.
After every stumble the woman would find new strength and continue on her way. Although she seemed to weaken and in many ways she did, she was developing a new type of inner strength as she continued to endure the constant abuse.
She was older now and wiser and she was able to find comfort in a different type of friend. People who saw her for who she really was deep down inside and supported her journey. These connections offered the woman an ability to hold on longer to fight harder. Her external connections help her maintain balance while internally the young girl was helping her to become stronger. Her time was coming close. The young girl could finally feel the pull.
The woman had been testing boundaries learning how to stand alone; these were times when the thief would release doubt and lack of confidence and she would retreat into herself. These were times her outside connections would not be enough and her spouse was able to cause the most damage both physically and psychologically. These were times that she felt weighted down by people pulling her in all directions but mostly dragging her down into depths of despair.
This was the time, this was the time for her to be saved.
And so the young girl walked the path to its end and found she was able to open the door to the woman's immortal soul and wake her from her slumber sending the pirate off where the guardian would be waiting to collect it.
The fight was not a simple one it was a push and pull that had the woman riding a rollercoaster of emotions. Her reconnection with her immortal soul was both liberating and terrifying. She knew something within her had changed. She felt the change but she just could not put her finger on exactly what it was she was feeling. She saw a light at the end of a tunnel so to speak. She dreamt of a savior coming for her, a winged horse entered her dreams and pulled a wagonload or hurt away with it she felt her heart and soul lighten. This was the beginning of what would be a long trip becoming whole. She was not done by far but there was hope.
Creating a whole from what has been broken was a task not worthy of anything other than a pure soul, an angel. The young girl who had now become a woman was about to start mending the pain and hurt and she did so lovingly. Walking the path allowed her to be prepared for what she was to encounter and she took on her role with determination and strength of conviction. They would grow together. Each pain that haunted the woman would need to be reconciled, approached and accepted. A lengthy process, it would not remove the memories of the event but put them in perspective as a manner of growth for the woman. Learning that each event in life no matter the pain it may cause is a learning experience.
The direct result of the mischief maker that took space with the woman's immortal soul was her outward selections, her decisions made based on low self esteem and the feelings of being inadequate. Although she tried to be a kind person always thinking of others before herself she had many demons haunting her daily and she reacted to them by allowing herself to be tricked and manipulated by those she trusted. Many of those trusted individuals brought chaos into her life by way of these demons. So with each step towards freedom she was at many times dragged back into chaos, this happened again and again.
The woman was exhausted mentally, physically but mostly emotionally. She struggled to keep each foothold day after day.
The demon she lived with most was the demon closest to her. Her need for love and the love that was denied her daily by the person she trusted most.
He was the biggest demon she had to overcome to be free. This realization with the help of the young girl was the key to removing the pirate and setting the woman free for good.
Her faith was her stronghold. And it was this faith that moved her closer every day to the strength needed to take hold of her life and become the woman she always knew she was.
The constant give and take that the girl and woman had wore on them both. They were not one yet and they felt the pull every minute of every day. The woman searched within for herself, she longed to find what was lost so long ago. what she didnt know she had lost but was aware something had been missing deep within her. Soul searching.
The girl had grown and was learning with the woman as she helped the woman find her way. Subtle hints, an internal pull drawing her in the right direction each one spoke to her and made her ache for more. And there was always more. Her nights became mostly sleepless, what little sleep she did get was restless to say the least. Her brain worked in constant overdrive, thinking, figuring, planning, hoping to draw out her destiny in living color in her mind.
The angel led her through all of this gently offering strength and being kept strong herself by the womans never failing faith. Their relationship was tenuous, it was a constant give and take. If the worst was to happen, if the woman suddenly gave up, or lost faith the girl would simply no longer exist. There would be no bringing her back. They pressed on in their journey, each doing their part to repair lifes damages.
For her part the woman had to come to terms with many painful memories. Each one needed to be dealt with and overcome. The woman needed to accept and forgive to move on. It was hard and painful and so very emotional. Forgiveness was the hardest part; there were things she did not want to forgive and some she didn't know how to forgive. Getting to a point in her mind that she could say i know it happened and i forgive myself for allowing it to happen, and accept that it was not my fault. And through it all the angel held tight and the woman's faith held strong.
The guardian observed the process as it went on; he stood watch over the girl and the woman and held them tight in his thoughts, willing them to persist. The girl held a special place in the guardians heart. Her tenaciousness endeared the girl to the guardian, she was different; he would help the joining of the two to happen, as long as he was able he would offer strength and be the gateway for the woman's faith to move through unencumbered. She would succeed, he was sure of it.
The woman would not just wake up one day fully healed, fully able to move beyond the pain that the past caused but she would also not continue to suffer as before. Joining with the girl to become one would in some ways be complete as the woman grew in confidence and trust in herself. However there were still cracks in the foundation that would mend as time passed there would still be hurt but there would also be a strength to deal with the pain that she had never known before. And when asked how she manages to keep pressing forward when at times all seems lost she simply says, “because I can.”
