Be Delusional — It Might Save You
What happened next was the start of real freedom and massive growth.

I know. It sounds ridiculous.
“Be delusional?”
Seriously?
Yes. Dead serious.
For most of my life, I was the “realistic” type. The keep-your-head-down, play-it-safe, follow-the-path kind of person. I thought that was smart. That was responsible. That was what successful people did.
But you know what I got in return?
Nothing magical.
Nothing extraordinary.
Just… average.
My days blurred into each other. I felt like I was existing, not living. And worst of all, I didn’t even realize how numb I’d become—until one night I looked in the mirror and thought:
“Is this it?”
The Night Everything Shifted
It was quiet. Like, hauntingly quiet. I was brushing my teeth, staring at myself—blank expression, tired eyes, heart heavy for no specific reason.
Then this thought just hit me out of nowhere:
What if this version of me isn’t even 10% of what’s possible?
The idea shook me. Because deep down, I knew I was settling. Shrinking. Silencing the parts of me that wanted more—way more—just to keep life “realistic.”
But what if… being realistic was the actual trap.
The Lie We All Buy Into
Let’s be real for a second: when people say “be realistic,” what do they actually mean?
They mean:
> “Lower your standards.”
“Don’t dream too big.”
“Stay where it’s safe, even if you’re suffocating”.
They mean: “Don’t make me uncomfortable with your courage.”
I realized this one painful truth—maybe the most important lesson I’ve ever learned:
> Being realistic is just socially accepted fear.
And fear? It’s loud. It’s sneaky. It’ll dress up in a suit, call itself “logic,” and talk you out of your purpose.
So I Tried Something Wild…
I decided to believe in a version of my life that didn’t exist yet.
One that felt borderline insane.
Delusional, even.
I imagined a future where I was financially free, wildly creative, helping others, traveling the world, building something that mattered—even though, in real life, I was broke, stuck, and scared.
Sounds stupid, right?
But let me tell you something:
> That stupid dream?
That so-called delusion?
It saved me.
People Will Laugh… Until They Don’t
They’ll call you crazy until you prove them wrong. And even then, they’ll say you were “lucky.”
Nobody believed in Elon Musk when he said he’d send rockets into space and land them backwards.
Nobody took Oprah seriously when she dreamed of building a media empire while growing up poor and black in the Deep South.
Nobody clapped when Walt Disney was fired for “lacking imagination.”
They were mocked. Dismissed. Ridiculed.
Then they won.
My Personal Delusion (That Actually Worked)
A while back, I had this dream of building an online platform—sharing content that mattered, helping people shift their mindsets, growing something of my own.
But I had no followers. No money. No “connections.”
Still… I started. With shaky hands, a half-broken phone, and more doubt than confidence. I posted. I created. I stayed up until 3 AM wondering if I was insane for thinking anyone would care.
And then?
Tiny wins.
A comment.
A message.
A “hey, this helped me.”
It snowballed. Slowly, but surely. My so-called “delusion” started turning into reality.
So What Does It Really Mean to Be Delusional?
It means believing before you have proof.
It means saying “I can” when everything screams “you can’t.”
It means holding onto your vision when nothing in your current reality supports it.
And most people will hate it. Because your confidence reminds them of their own doubt.
Be delusional anyway.
If You're Reading This...
Maybe you’ve been playing it safe. Maybe you’ve got this quiet dream—one you barely admit to yourself, let alone to others. Maybe you feel behind, lost, late to the game.
Let me say it clearly:
You’re not too late. You’re just too realistic.
Let go of that. Be bold. Be brave. Be wildly, unapologetically, delusionally in love with your future.
Final Thought: Delusion or Destiny?
One day they’ll ask,
“How did you do it?”
And you’ll smile and say,
“I stopped listening to logic and started trusting my gut.”
The world doesn’t need more people playing it safe.
It needs people willing to dream louder than their doubts.
