Leading Yourself

The first step to being a leader is learning to lead yourself. After all, you can't show others the way if you don't know where you're going yourself. But knowing where you're going isn't enough–you have to be willing to put in the hard work to get there. And finally, once you've arrived at your destination, it's your responsibility to help others find their way there too. That's what true leadership is all about. It's not about titles or accolades; it's about setting an example and helping others along the way. You'll never truly know how much of an impact you've had on someone else until they tell you themselves. But no matter how big or small that impact may be, it matters because every life has worth.

Leading Others

When it comes to leading others, it is not simply enough to know the way or even go the way. A true leader is one who shows others the way—not through force or coercion, but through example and inspiration. A great leader does not need people to follow him in order for him to lead them; a great leader's followers are drawn in because they want to be led by him. It takes more than knowing the way, going the way, and showing the way to become a great leader. It takes genuine care for those being led that goes beyond the scope of their role as subordinates in order to become inspirational leaders who live out what they say.

Leading by Example

When it comes to being a leader, it’s not enough to just talk the talk. You have to walk the walk, too. In other words, you have to lead by example. If you want your team to be punctual, then you need to be punctual. If you want your team to be respectful, then you need to be respectful. You get the idea. setting the right example is critical if you want to be an effective leader. It may sound obvious, but in order to be a true leader, you must know the way; go the way; and show the way.
