A Romantic Taurus Says the Stars
Relating to the stars, or do you not?

I was born an exact week early with my birthday being May 3, 1991, and making me a Taurus. I have always found the idea of star signs to be fascinating. So many debates go into whether it is based on truth or just straight up pseudoscience, but one thing is for sure, looking up your star sign and talking about it with others can be quite an enjoyable discussion.
One of the most interesting things about star signs for me is the dates where each sign begins. Depending on where you look, some star signs are different dates. My mom for insistence is born on April 20. She identifies as a Taurus like me because many sights say she is one, but some sites say she is an Aries. For many people born on these start end days, how do they choose which one they are? I would assume that they possibly read each sign and decide which one relates more to them. But were here to discuss how I relate to my sign, and I believe that Astrology is more fun than science.
I do relate to my star sign in many ways, but there are some where they don’t relate at all. Some of the signs relating to strengths of a Taurus are: reliable, patient, practical, devoted, responsible, and stable. I am always reliable and can be there when needed for work, family, or friends. I am patient in some areas, but have no patience when it comes to driving and waiting in line at the grocery store. I am quite practical, but always love to dream. I am super responsible when it comes to almost anything. As for stable, I would have to say that I am currently sitting at a 50/50 stance on this one. My life has always been full of chaos, but after meeting my fiancé, he has helped me to focus myself into being a more stable person.
Now we have the said weaknesses of the Taurus: Stubborn, possessive, uncompromising, and materialistic, amongst others. Even though I hate to admit it, I do fit each one. I am immensely stubborn, and never give up till I get what I want, which can come in handy at times. I can be a little possessive, but I would say more less than so. I am definitely not big on compromising, but I am working really hard at being better in this area because compromise is quite a big one for a relationship. My fiancé knows how hard it is for me to compromise on things, and thankfully he does his best to help me come to realize that compromising is a good thing. Finally, I would say that I can tend to be materialistic. I always want so many things, but sadly I don’t have enough money to buy all the things I want.
Tarsus’ are an Earth element and according to www.astrology-zodiac-signs.com, “This makes them excellent employees, great long-term friends and partners, always being there for people they love. Earthly note makes them overprotective, conservative, or materialistic at times, with views of the world founded on their love of money and wealth.” I relate to this statement deeply. I am an exceptional employee, have a handful of friends (two of which I have known for 10+ years), I am always there for my family friends whenever they need me, and have only been in one relationship my whole life, which is to my fiancé of four and a half years. I can be overprotective at times, but when it come to conservative, I am not even close to it.
The ruling planet of Taurus is Venus, “the planet of love, attraction, beauty, satisfaction, creativity and gratitude. This tender nature will make Taurus an excellent cook, gardener, lover, and artist. They are loyal and don't like sudden changes, criticism or the chase of guilt people are often prone to, being somewhat dependable on other people and emotions they seem to be unable to let go of. Still, no matter their potential emotional challenge, these individuals have the ability to bring a practical voice of reason in any chaotic and unhealthy situation,” (www.astrology-zodiac-signs.com). Everything about this statement is remarkably true. I am extremely loyal and love romance. I hate change, but always endure it. I am not fond of personal criticism whether good or bad, but strive to see that the good can help. I enjoy cooking, singing, attempting to be an artist, and even gardening. I relate greatly to Venus being my ruling planet.
To attract a Taurus woman, it is said to appeal to her sense of romance. I can’t speak for all Taurus women, but personally, this is a big one for me. I am quite the romantic, and oddly enough, my fiancé really isn’t, but when we first met he swept me off my feet and was romantic in little ways. This leads me to a Taurus and their compatible signs. Now it’s fairly simple to put your sign and any other sign together on an online site, and see what signs you are most compatible with. One of the most compatible signs for a Taurus is a Cancer, and luckily enough, a Cancer is just what my fiancé happens to be. It’s notably interesting that he too fits his Cancer sign well, but overall, we complete each other in many ways and have a truly amazing relationship, and I can’t wait to marry him at the end of this year.
At the end of the day, it is for each person to decide whether Astrology is something fun to discuss, not to be believed in at all, or whether their life should revolve around it. We can only choose our own path in life and what we choose to believe in. For me, I choose to believe that Astrology is a fun topic discussion, and enjoy having talks with many friends and family. There are a great number of mysteries in this world yet solved, and maybe Astrology is one them.
