Planning is essential in all facets of human life, even more so in the age-old endeavor of dating women in Kiev, Ukraine - a center for commerce, art, science, and industrial prowess.

It’s a massive city. There’s so much to do, so much to see, and so much to enjoy in general - and because of this, it quickly became Europe’s most vibrant getaway destination with a booming nightlife and diverse dating options.

Kiev’s reputation as a dating hotspot has been known since the ninth century. For years, men from every corner of the globe have flocked to this Easter European nation for the sole purpose of meeting, flirting with, and potentially marrying Ukrainian women.

Remember that men have been doing this for years, so a woman who has grown up in this culture understands the dynamic like the back of her hand (which she might hit you with if you make it obvious that you’re just after some instant gratification or if you mistake her for an escort).

Prepare to have some extra money on hand.

For this particular mission, you’re going to need some extra money - and here’s why.

In Ukrainian society, men are still traditionally seen as providers. This has been the case for centuries, and it has seeped into the modern dating dynamics. This means that Kiev women will tend to expect you to shoulder the bill when you go out to eat at a restaurant, watch a movie, or hit up the bar for some drinks.

You absolutely must not ask her to pay the bill or allow her to throw in for any payment - it’s disrespectful in their culture.

Many tend to forget that Ukraine is still a nation at war, with active fighting still raging in certain parts of the country. This further adds to the economic disparity among most average people, and it reinforces the male’s position as a provider.

To flatter her, offer to treat her at every turn. If you have the spare money to do this, by all means, do so. It’ll work wonders for your romantic dynamic with her.

And lastly...

Watch out for scams.

Dating scams are prevalent in Ukraine, and many companies would like to cash in on the influx of Western men who flock to the world-renowned “City of Brides.”

Do not fall victim to any fraudulent services that only want to milk you for your money by leading you with women who give you false promises.

Despite the fact that there are legitimate matchmaking services of this nature, you might be better off relying on your social skills and womanizing prowess to woo a local girl rather than rely on a service to aid you in that endeavor - unless you’re doing so online, which, in that case, still has some sketchy services but tend to have verified, legitimate women.

In general, if a local woman you’re on a date with seems to be gold-digging on you and it’s blatantly obvious, it’s entirely up to you if you want that dynamic to persist and if it fulfills your needs in return. Our advice is to simply keep a keen eye out and watch out for scams.
