It is wrong not to do anything to save the planet, considering that you will not be able to change anything. Your effort would not be in vain. That is why we are launching a series of articles from which you will find out how you can make the world around you cleaner. Let's start by listing the things you could easily give up right now.

Cellophane bags

About 10 million plastic bags are used every minute in the world. At best they end up in the landfill, but very often they end up in a nearby lake or forest. If you give up your bags and persuade those close to you to follow your example (and they, in turn, his acquaintances), then together you will be able to change this terrible figure.

Let's start with the bag package, get used to taking your bags with you and using them until they are worn out. Once the bag pack is empty, start using reusable bags. Buy some biodegradable bags and distribute them through regular bags. If you have a car, be sure to put a biodegradable bag in the glove compartment so you don't have to carry it in your bag and buy cellophane bags over and over again.

If you don't have a bag like this with you and you don't have too many purchases, try carrying them in your hand.

Well, plastic

The plastic straw is 1/5 of the waste found in the World Ocean. Drink with your mouth. First of all, don't buy plastic straws at home. If you want to drink a milkshake with a straw, find ecological alternatives - glass, metal, or bamboo.

The locals ask the waiter to bring you the straw-free drink. Sometimes he can forget about this wish, but don't make him scold him, he repeats the request next time.

Coffee glasses

Romantic coffee cups decompose for almost half a century and leave a microplastic, which enters the body along with water and fish.

An alternative to this type of glass could be an ordinary jar with a lid, a reusable thermal cup, or a small thermos.

Plastic tableware

In countries where picnics and nature outings are a tradition, plastic tableware pollution is an acute problem. This type of plastic decomposes for centuries, in addition to the production and recycling of disposable utensils consumes colossal energy resources.

The ideal option is to have fun at home. If you don't feel like taking your dishes with you, where you have to wash the dishes later, then at least use recycled paper alternatives.

Toothbrushes

The toothbrush should be changed at least once every three months, this would mean 4 toothbrushes a year. An alternative to plastic toothbrushes is electric toothbrushes (dentists say they would be more useful for the oral cavity) and bamboo toothbrushes. Environmentalists are generally looking for an alternative to many hygiene products, but we have promised that we will begin this cycle of less painful recommendations.

If you have decided to help save the planet, do not immediately run for ecological alternatives. Many disposable products can be replaced with alternatives you have at home. For example, you might not buy biodegradable bags and you might go shopping with an old backpack. The basic principle of an ecological lifestyle is to try not to generate potential new waste.

Protecting the environment is the only way life can continue to thrive on this planet. Find out what causes and risks of pollution, what solutions are available to save the Earth, and what changes you can make today.

The planet can survive without humans, but we cannot survive if we destroy our own homes. Most of us hope that our generation will not witness man-made climate change. Unfortunately, these are obvious right now. However, it is believed that it is not too late to improve the situation, both for us and for future generations and the billions of animals that still live here.
