We should never be too busy to rediscover happiness from the simple things that can be achieved by making small changes in our hectic lives.

1. Happiness comes when we smile at others

Don't expect people around you to smile first. Show them how to do it!

Let your guard down and learn to speak from the heart, to compliment your coworker or new acquaintances. Be beautiful inside and give those around you a chance to make a connection with you and a chance to smile.

The more you smile at others, the more they will smile at you, and the more beautiful life is when everyone around you smiles at you!

2. We get happy when we make our day exceptional

Think when you wake up in the morning that the day will be an exceptional one and so it will be! Some research has shown that although we believe that we act according to how we feel, things are exactly the opposite! A positive and enthusiastic attitude will help us to live pleasant experiences.

3. Happiness means reflecting on the good

Appreciate all the good things that happen to you, no matter how small they are! Whether you are aware of it or not, extraordinary things are already happening in your life.

Most of us have a beautiful family, friends we can count on at all times, or a loved one who always supports us. Let's learn to appreciate this miracle. Most of us have iron health, something else to cherish. Most of us can enjoy the sunset, the sunrise, or the beautiful natural scenery just because we have a view. Most of us can be enchanted by music just by listening.

The important thing is to be grateful for these things. So, every day, take the time to thank God or your loved ones.

4. To achieve happiness we must use our strengths

Each person has unique strengths. We all have different and special talents and abilities. Emotional happiness surrounds us when we use these skills to carry out our responsibilities. We feel like complete people when we have accomplishments, and if they come from the exclusive use of our strengths, the psychological reward is invaluable.

5. We can discover happiness using our imagination

We can all agree that those who use their imagination the most and are always happy are the children. How come we are born knowing how to enjoy life but when we become adults we somehow forget to have fun?

What is the solution to this problem? Let's neutralize the aging process with the power of imagination. We must not imagine that bananas are space shuttles - although it would be funny - but simply think every day about something that can bring a smile to our face.

6. Happiness comes when we create something

The creative process is a special one, completely different from our other auctions. Using our innovation and creating something with our own hands will make us feel complete and bring us an indescribable state of happiness that cannot be replaced by anything. It is important, however, that what we create is related to what we like to do. So, if you find that you love something, try to create something related to it and you will feel different!

7. Happiness means helping others

In life, we receive as much as we give. When we have a positive impact on another person's life, we are bringing happiness and well-being into our lives. The more we help those around us, the more they will want to help us. Love and kindness generate love and kindness.

8. Happiness comes from small things

Have you ever thought that happiness can mean spending your lunch break with a dear friend? Try to leave the office during the lunch break and spend half an hour with a close person. You will notice how your mind will become clearer, you will relax and you will return to work with a smile9. We are happier when we manage to "get rid" of one thing a day

We have so many useless things around us (at the office, in the car, at home) and we are so used to them that we don't realize how they affect us. If we start to clean and get rid of useless things every day we will feel a sense of relief. Although at first, it will be difficult for us to give up certain objects, in time we will get used to them and our mind will thank us for the effort.

10. Happiness means meditation

Meditation is the art of focusing 100% on a certain area of our lives. This practice brings with it happiness or well-being and better concentration and patience.

In general, meditation helps us to slow down, to accept where we stand, and to gain the presence of the mind. If you manage to use meditation as a form of relaxation, it will not be long before you begin to notice the positive effects it has.

11. Happiness takes hold of us when we avoid negative people or negative attitudes

We must never allow ourselves to be influenced by negative people because we can become like them. It is true that in life we have to overcome many obstacles, but if we manage to keep a positive attitude and look for solutions we can accomplish anything, even things that at first seem impossible.

12. Happiness means living the moment

Every moment we live is part of our life and we must enjoy it. Therefore, whatever we do, regardless of the circumstances, is worth appreciating.

Reading, writing, interacting with co-workers or friends, walking on stairs, showering, eating, or even washing dishes are small moments that together make up a large part of our lives. We can enjoy them if we open our minds and focus on them.
