Who is Teresa Fidalgo? The Complete True Story of Teresa Fidalgo

Who is Teresa Fidalgo, want to know? Ghost stories are an easy way to get attention. Yet, as soon as you find something fishy, you want to know the truth. So I’ll be uncovering the complete true story of Teresa Fidalgo. Some people have a very nasty habit of making people fool. They’re so talented and ambitious that they can mislead people in a world of pop culture. They play smart and play with the feelings of nostalgic lovers in today's secular world.

Before digging deep on “who is Teresa Fidalgo,” I’m getting you acquainted with the story, if you aren’t already, and debunk the myth and hoax of the internet.

It all starts with a viral post with a quote going like this:

“I am Teresa Fidalgo, and if you don’t post this on 20 other photos, I will sleep with you forever.”

You read the quote on Instagram pictures with a warning:

“A girl ignored, and her mom died 29 days later. You can even search for me on google.”

The quote and the warning caught the attention and went viral.

Complete Story of Teresa Fidalgo:

Before moving on to the validity of the story, let’s talk about the story itself. The story is about a car accident in Sintra: the city of Portugal. It happened on 23rd March 1983. The story told that four people were traveling in the car: two men and two women. Three of them died in the accident, and one was the survivor.

Teresa Fidalgo was one of those women and the man who survived was David. They have linked the history of the original story to the footage. The footage came out in 2014 and spread over the internet through copy-pasting. The footage has been regenerated and recreated to fit back into the original story of 1983.

Accident in the footage

According to the footage, three passengers are talking about ghosts while driving in a remote location at night. The road is empty, and the environment is full of fear. While they are talking about scary stories, they see a girl walking on the footpath.

The girl is nice. Therefore, the guys inside the car offer her a lift. After a while, they talk to the girl. The girl, however, is looking towards the side of the road, where she had died. Thus, she has not much interest in the conversation. When the camera catches her face, the face becomes scary and disfigured. The footage suddenly ends when the girl attacks them.

The subtitles declare that two out of three passengers have died in the accident, including a female. One man who has shot the film, however, has survived. His name is David, but he could not recollect and narrate the story.

Uncovering finally who is Teresa Fidalgo

Every ghost story must have a link with some real incident to prove the existence of ghosts. The same has been with the footage. They have also linked the footage to an original accident that took place in 1983. Police have also testified the death of the girl Teresa on the same date.

The Reality behind Complete Story of Teresa Fidalgo and the Footage

What if I tell you that the footage is a fabrication? The entire story is plotted. It’s nothing more than a short film to catch attention. A Portuguese director and producer, named David Rebardao, filmed this video. He is the one who has appeared as a survivor of the incident. He made it in 2013 and published it on YouTube in 2014. He named his short film “A Curva.”

This video shows the Curva original video.

In an interview, he stated that the footage was planned and then filmed. Thus, it had nothing to do with reality. They filmed it too while they were shooting one of his movies.

Teresa Fidalgo is Nothing more than a Short Film

Now, what about the message and the warnings? If the story is unreal and mere a film, can the messages be real? They are asking you to Google. What is the motive behind it? Why did they motivate you to search more? It’s a play for attention only.

The video comes in black and white, which is pretty convenient for these kinds of stories. They are talking about ghosts and other supernatural things and then out of nowhere; they see her and pick her up. They made a few edits using adobe premium and made it look like something paranormal was happening. Of course, editing can do wonders, especially when you already want to believe such silly things.

Just recall again:

Teresa does not take much interest in the conversation going on. Soon after they ask her a few times what has happened to her, she points to the side of the road and tells them she had an accident at this spot and died that night. They point the camera at her face right after that and her face becomes bloody out of a sudden. Just after that, there is a cut in the video and then you can see the car turned upside down. The car is wrecked to the point of no repair.

A clear sign that it’s film… I think you must debunk it now. In short It is just one of many stories that have been going on through social media for years. As talked about above, the director himself admitted it was a short film and they scripted it. Many in the industry can’t believe how such a story can circulate for years. Such types of stories have little longevity and disappear soon. However, it keeps appearing again and again for people like you, and I have been looking for, “who is Teresa Fidalgo?”

It’s so because we've got that message from the footnotes that we should keep on searching for her. Let’s stop paying too much attention to weird, false, and paranormal stories.
