During the 1950s, Connie Converse was a struggling musician with an unconventional style that wasn't very popular with listeners of that time. She eventually gave up on her music career in frustration. It was only 2009 that a record featuring her songs was released, and met with some success. Connie has been missing since 1974, leaving behind some possibility that she might still be out there and may have even been aware of the revival of her music after all these years. Nonetheless, it's highly likely that she ended her life around the time of her disappearance.
Sean Flynn had a unique perspective on life. Struggling under the burden of his father's fame, he decided to leave the spotlight and serve his country by joining the military during the Vietnam War. As an accredited photojournalist in Cambodia, Flynn captured some of the most haunting images of war seen yet. Unfortunately, he was never heard from again after being stationed there - presumed to be either a prisoner of war or taken out for being a potential spy. His legacy remains through his photos which recounted tales of violence and pain brought about by the conflict. We can only speculate what may have happened to him, but we are forever in debt for allowing us this momentary glimpse into one man's account of one nation's struggle during an unprecedented time in history.
In the 1960s and 70s, Jim Sullivan had just two albums under his belt when he vanished without a trace under suspicious circumstances. On that fateful day, he had been slated to meet with Nashville producers for a possible record deal, which may have changed his life forever. After leaving behind all of his belongings in an area hotel, it was almost as if he had been abducted by some sort of UFO — an idea lent more credence by the fact that he had recently released an album called UFO. To this day, there has never been any evidence regarding Jim's disappearance and his body has never been recovered.
Richey Edwards was an enigmatic musician who garnered a strong following throughout the musical community. His lyrics explored the inner trials of depression and self-harm, while his public stunts captivated the attention of audiences. In 1995, a journalist suggested that Ritchie was insincere in his writing; in response, Ritchie carved "for real" into his arm with a razor blade then vanished without a trace. After months of searching, Ritchie’s legal death was confirmed 2008 despite no physical evidence ever being recovered. To this day, the mystery surrounding Raching Edwards remains unsolved.
