'The Slayers' Is a Vampire Horror-Comedy-Indie Flick That Ed Wood Might Have Been Proud of...

Do you like vampire movies where they don't f****ng sparkle!?! Yes i'm dissing the twilight movies what of it....Low budget filmmaker John Williams second feature is 'The Slayers' a movie Chock full of Vampires that really enjoy drinking our blood.

Here's the plot:

Two cult members, Nigel and Job, decide to go on a road trip during their last two weeks on earth. Bucketlist in hand, motorhome fired up, the two head for the mountains of Scotland for a final fortnight filled with girls, skydiving, camping, alcohol and strange men claiming to be vampire slayers... Is this God's plan for Nigel and Job?

Starring 'This is England's' George Newton as a mysterious vampire hunter on the search for his next set of fangs to add to his collection. He enlists the help of two bumbling brothers as they end up knee deep in vampire territory.

Quite frankly if I suspected there was a nest of vampires while I was on my holiday i'd get a full refund and runaway.....in that order!!

The film's a quirky beast, shot on a reported budget of only £20,000 which beggars belief. The footage looks amazing and shots over the landscape of Scotland look as visually dazzling as they did in the Bond Movie 'SkyFall'.

1 part horror and at least 3 parts comedy, the movie is an interesting mix of gag set ups and plot points. A little like Monty Python meets Brazil with Fangs!

Oh and something NEW is added to the Vamp sub-genre, a fact i've never heard on Buffy that's for sure.

Turns out the fanged ones have no anus and are storing up toxic gasses from their unusual diets. Unusual idea but that's The Slayers all over, a kooky mixed bag and i'm sure it'll play well on the festival circuit.
