The Mystery of the Depths (Part 6)
The Cry of the Sea – Part 6
After returning the chain, we believed it was over. We wanted to believe Saira’s spirit had found peace.
But one night’s horror shattered that illusion. When young Saiful claimed, “I saw a girl underwater,” fear, doubt, and mystery clawed back into our lives.
This time, we vowed to uncover the truth—no matter the cost.
The Diver’s Arrival
Riaz Bhai, a seasoned diver and ex-navy officer, agreed to help. Known for exploring the ocean’s secrets, he smirked at our ghost stories but said,
“Never seen a spirit underwater… but if there’s something real, I’ll find it.”
He joined us with modern diving gear and cameras.
The Cursed Waters
We sailed to Saira’s drowning site at 11 p.m. The sky brooded, the water murky. An ominous heaviness hung in the air.
Riaz Bhai activated his camera before diving. “Let’s see who’s down there,” he said, plunging into the dark.
What Lies Beneath
Minutes ticked. Ten. Fifteen. Tension coiled around us. Suddenly, his voice crackled through the camera’s speaker:
“There’s a wrecked wooden structure—maybe a boat’s remains.”
Static. Silence.
When he resurfaced, his face was pale. “Not just debris… a skeleton. A woman’s. Nets tangled around it. And a box… with carvings on the seabed.”
The Carved Truth
The words chilled us:
“Betrayal devoured me. I will return.”
This wasn’t an accident. Saira’s death was murder.
Fazlu Majhi’s Confession
Confronted, Fazlu Majhi crumpled. “I knew… Saira fought Nazim Bhai—the yacht owner—before the storm. He saw her as a rival. They sabotaged her life vest… I stayed silent.”
We gasped. “This was a murder?”
He nodded. “Now I understand… she doesn’t just want her chain. She wants justice.”
A New Fear
The truth reawakened our dread. If Saira’s spirit knows her killer still lives… will she ever rest? Or will her vengeance escalate?
Night deepened. A lone star glowed crimson on the horizon. A cold breeze slithered down our necks.
We knew—this wasn’t over.
The Beginning of the End
The next day, Nazim Bhai vanished. His abandoned yacht drifted where Saira’s skeleton lay. No one knows what happened.
Only a whisper rides the wind:
“Those who betray… vanish into the sea’s embrace.”
