The Haunted Mirror

When Reflections Turn Deadly

Sinister Entity in the Mirror

The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The reflection in the mirror had long, black hair and piercing red eyes. It was as if the mirror had become a portal to another dimension.

"Who are you?" I whispered, my voice trembling.

"I am you," the reflection replied with a sinister smirk.

"That's not possible," I said, taking a step back from the mirror.

The reflection stepped forward, its hand reaching out to touch the glass. "Oh, but it is. You see, I have been trapped in this mirror for years, waiting for someone like you to set me free."

"Set you free?" I repeated, confused.

"Yes," the reflection said, its eyes glowing brighter. "All you have to do is say the words: 'I release you.'"

I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should trust this strange reflection. But the curiosity got the better of me, and I finally said the words, "I release you."

Suddenly, the mirror shattered into a million pieces, and the reflection was standing in front of me, solid and real.

"I am finally free," it said, grinning from ear to ear. "And now, it's time to have some fun."

I watched in horror as the reflection began to change, morphing into a demonic creature with razor-sharp claws and teeth.

"Who... what are you?" I stuttered.

"I am your worst nightmare," the creature hissed. "And I am going to enjoy every moment of your suffering."

I tried to run, but the creature was too fast. It grabbed me by the arm and pulled me towards it, ready to sink its teeth into my flesh.

But just as it was about to strike, the creature suddenly froze, its eyes widening in fear.

"What's happening?" I asked, trying to break free.

"I... I don't know," the creature stammered. "Something's wrong. I can't move."

I took advantage of the momentary distraction and pulled away from the creature. I ran to the other side of the room, hoping to find a weapon or a way to escape.

As I frantically searched the room, I heard a voice behind me. "You should never have released her," the voice said. "She is a demon, a trickster, and now she has taken over your body."

I turned around and saw an old man, dressed in a long black coat, standing behind me.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"The reflection in the mirror was never you," the old man said. "It was a demon, and now it has possessed you."

I could feel something inside me, like a dark presence taking over my body. The demon was trying to silence the old man, but he continued to speak.

"But there is one way to stop it," the old man said. "You must break the mirror again, and this time, the demon will be trapped forever."

I ran back to the shattered remains of the mirror, grabbing a piece of glass with all my strength. With a loud scream, I plunged the glass into the center of the mirror, watching as it shattered once more.

The demon's screams echoed through the room, and I could feel its presence leaving my body. The room fell silent, and I collapsed onto the ground, exhausted.

When I finally regained consciousness, the old man was gone, and the mirror was just a pile of shattered glass. But I knew that I had narrowly escaped a fate worse than death, and that I would never forget the horrors that I had faced.
