The Creek's Light Chapter 1: Personality Disorder

A Fictional Horror

By Published 7 years ago 6 min read

The sounds of running water rushing down as a cool but gentle breeze hits my face. I can smell a nice scent of lavender sending a calming sigh to come from my mouth. I knew for a fact that his peaceful darkness never lasted like how I wanted to. *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* I knew it...

A sigh came from my lips as I opened my eyes and grunted a little. "Ji-ho isn't it too early for this?" I yawned.

Getting out of the makeshift bed which was made of old rags and a mattress I found a while back inside this building. I stretched and smiled to myself. Time to get ready! I ran out of the room and down the hall. The coldness of the marble stained floors sent a shiver throughout my body every time the bare bottom of my feet. My jacket flopped behind me as I waved my arms around laughing. I grinned widely when I saw the familiar black male eating with Ji-ho.

"GOOD MORNING KEVIN!!!" I screamed as I lunged to his side and hugged him tightly.

He only grunted in response. "Go take a bath, Tay, I know for a fact you didn't," Ji-ho told me as I watched him sip on his soup.

I hugged my body. "But I'm scared—"

"You're 11 years old and a fucking psycho!! How the hell are you scared!?!" He yelled as I laughed in a psychotic way. He was right. I was raised in the asylum and have no idea where or who I actually am.

"But I want Kevin to come with me!"

"No."

"Come on Kevin please!!!"

"Fuck off." I huffed and turned away.

"What's wrong Tay?" I smiled widely at the voice.

"BreBre, Kevin won't take a bath with me." I hugged her soft body. I heard her giggle.

"Don't worry, Tay, I'll take one with you."

"YAY!!!"

"Abresha stop babying him up! He needs to learn how to do stuff on his own..."

I narrowed my eyes at Ji-ho. "I'm so close to ripping off your fucking head you bastar—"

"Tay." My thoughts were cut off by Abresha's voice. I looked up at her and smiled widely.

"Yes!!"

"Come let's go."

I cheered and grabbed her hand as I lead her to the bathing area of the building. I looked back to see Ji-ho was glaring at me as I just smirked.

I watched as Taemon played in the water like the child he is. I sighed. "You look much better with a smile BreBre!"

I flinched seeing Taemon in front of me. I sighed out again and put on a soft but lazily like smile as I can feel my eyes lowered more.

"I'm sorry...just thinking about how fucked the outside world is...and you." I held his left hand. It was covered in a black mist and deep pulsing grey veins. The mist only stopped at his wrist but the veins went up to his whole arm. I looked into his left eye. That same mist was around it while the whole eye was just white...those things did this to him. I felt anger rising inside of me. It's all her fault!

"Ow!" My eyes widen as I realized I was squeezing his arm.

I pulled away quickly. "I...I'm so sorry Tay...just thinking about her again." His eyes traveled away from mines as his head on my bare breast and hugged my waist.

"I don't like seeing you like this...and stop talking about that fiend...she deserved to burn in hell for all I care." I felt his grip tighten. My eyes narrowed when the atmosphere grew darker. "If she lay a finger on you again I can image myself ripping her apart with my Light Weapon. Making her eat her own intestines and choke on them until she can't breathe anymore...she'll look so beautiful!"

"Damian!!"

"Yes, love!?"

"Leave Taemon alone and bring him back, stop playing around." He looked at me with a mischief look in his white eye and grey one. I shivered when he licked the top of my chest, then looked back at me."But BreBre—I wanna play more."

His hands gripped onto my thighs like steel was on them. I couldn't tell if my face was red either from the bath or that he is touching a sensitive place. Before he could do anything else the door of the bathing area opened. I sighed out as I looked back to see it was Kevin. "Damian..."

Damian sighed and huffed. "You guys are no fun...fine." Taemon passed out on my chest.

"Thank you, Kevin," I said while looking at me to only have a nod in response.

"Hey! Kevin!!! Did you decide to join me and BreBre for a bath!?!"

"No." And with that, Kevin left. Taemon looked at me for a second before he broke out in a smile. I couldn't help but laugh at that.

I hummed as I skipped throughout the building as Kevin, Ji-ho, and Abresha went to scavenge through the damns of the wastelands. I stopped near a window to look out to the dark forest white eyes looked back at me. I felt my eye narrowed as I placed the long baggy sleeve of my straight jacket against the half messed up window plain. I saw small light sources in the distance...it wasn't always like this...the last memory I had of the brightness of the sane world was when I was only nine. I sat in my padded room that held no type of color within the pads. Not even a light or a window. I came adapted to the darkness which makes immune to the darkness outside. My room door just burst open as these strange white eyed pitch black mindless corpses came in...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I shuttered back in my place as they came close, but turned away quickly to only see the darkness was spreading more. I crawled under them and ran. I struggled because of my jacket. I didn't know where to go nor did I know what even do. I panted as I found myself in the office area of the asylum. I used my mouth to try to open it but was locked. My body instantly froze up as cold sweat started to form. A loud roar and the sound of things falling and breaking was in the distance. I didn't dare to look but I did. My eyes widen as I saw a girl that I saw once before in here. Her eyes were black as her skin was grey while her arms and legs were a pitch black color. She looked at me with those big black eyes of hers as everything was pulled the floors. I ran and didn't look back. As I ran I struggled and moved my arms from the jacket until I heard the chains dropped from my shoulders getting the extra weight off me. I saw two large double doors and went inside. I looked around. I saw long tables with chairs. 'Eating room.' I thought as I hid under one of the tables and sat still waiting. A second later the doors fell on the ground. I watched as her feet came inside the room and walked around. An ear piercing buzzing of silence started to hurt my head as the buzzing got louder and louder. My left eye started to hurt as the table was moved off me. I looked at the female as she stood above me as I held my eye in pain. I screamed when my left hand shaking badly until it went numb. I scurried until I felt my back hit something which was the table I hid under before. I had nowhere to run. I flinched when she grabbed a hold of the collar of my jacket. I struggled in her iron grip but something bound my hands and feet together. I screamed and cried as he held open my left eye. The pain was unbearable as her claw slowly pulled out my left eye. I choked on my own screams as I can feel something traveling up from my eye as my other eye was started to burn and blur up with my tears. When she finally pulled out my eye, I could see her eating it in one bite. My vision finally gave out as I was eaten into the darkness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I looked down at my eye patch. I woke up finding myself outside the asylum the day after, I found my left eye just a pure white socket. A sigh left my lips as I placed the eye patch around my head. Even after two years of this...something just tells me she was planning something...something big.
