Shadows and Sighs: A Tale in the Style of Edgar Allan Poe
In the gloom of the vast Halloway mansion, perched on a secluded, mist-covered hill, the old Charles Moore lived a life marked by endless boredom. The walls of his residence, paneled with dark wood and adorned with aged tapestries, seemed to whisper forgotten secrets. Silence was a constant, broken only by the monotonous tick-tock of an antique pendulum clock that dominated the living room.

The Haunting Whispers
Nestled on the outskirts of a forgotten town, Blackwood Manor stood as a relic of a bygone era, its dark, foreboding presence casting a long shadow over the surrounding countryside. For decades, the mansion had remained abandoned, its once-grand halls and opulent rooms falling into disrepair, its secrets buried deep within its decaying walls. Locals spoke in hushed tones of the eerie occurrences that plagued the manor, attributing them to restless spirits that roamed its corridors.

The Arcane Files: Ghost Hunter Blog
Everyone always loves a good ghost story, well that is something I have always enjoyed reading about and watching on TV as a kid. I couldn’t understand why I loved anything to do with the supernatural and the paranormal. I could never understand why I was so drawn to it. Even coming from an upbringing with a mix of being religious, atheist, science and logic; I was always told that these types of things don’t exist or there is always a logical explanation for them. However, I never could wrap my mind around as to what drew me in all the time into that realm. I don’t know if it was because I was always so curious of the unknown, or why there are some things in this world that cannot be explained. It almost felt like I wanted to uncover the truth for why there are things in this world that not anyone can understand. After so many years of researching, interviewing, reading and watching stuff about the paranormal over the years and as I grew into my teens, I soon stopped having a fascination with the unexplained. But I soon found myself drawn right back into this spiritual world even after it became something that I forgot existed. I stopped believing in ghosts from high school and into my college years. But then that finally changed until I finally came face to face with one during my last few college years and I knew I had no explanation for what happened to me. But I will share that story another time. I finally decided to dive deep into the spirit world, and I chose to do a few paranormal investigations in October of 2022 to see if it really is true if ghosts are real or not? I decided not to post 2 ½ years ago because this was the first time I really had a chance to do this. I have learned so much in just a short amount of time and I have met so many well respected and legendary people in the paranormal field. Where I have had a chance to learn from them and grow so much, to better understand the spirit world and know when I am ever coming across anything that is either good or evil. I am still a novice in this field but with each investigation I’ve done I continue to better fully understand this hidden world. But even doing this alone has helped me grow a lot more spiritually as well and helped me understand my own personal gifts that I have now fully embraced as well; that I hid originally and chose not to embrace for a long time. Before I get into my first paranormal investigation experience here is a little bit of history of the historic Berkeley Plantation and how the paranormal activity first occurred.

Moving Out. Content Warning.
“It’s this cheap because of the vibrations.” “What do you mean?” Daisy said. “People believe that the building vibrates in such a way that it drives some people crazy,” the person showing her around said. “Not everyone. Just some. Like how you can hear some frequencies and others don’t”

A CURSED DOLL
I don’t really have any phobias or debilitating fears, but there are things in this world I’m not really comfortable with. For example, sharks while I'm swimming in the ocean, scary movies, and dolls. Yes, dolls creep me out. I know that most people, especially kids, think of dolls as immensely lovable and huggable playthings. They're meant to comfort and entertain us, not scare the living bejeezus out of us! But personally, I think of them as mostly creepy and sometimes cursed. This is especially true for a particularly pee-inducing doll from Japan called the Okiku doll.

The Pontianak: A Haunting Legend from Southeast Asia
Origins and Mythology The Pontianak, generally called Kuntilanak in Indonesia, is maybe of the most shameful remarkable being in Southeast Asian old stories, particularly in Malaysia and Indonesia. This ghost is commonly depicted as the restless spirit of a woman who died during childbirth or while pregnant. The name "Pontianak" is acknowledged to be gotten from the Malay words "ponti," implying "dead," and "anak," meaning "young person," which together mirror the apparition's shocking start.

Sacred Blood
Dreadful rows. Endless, dreadful rows of gloomy, blood-soaked trees, humbled before the tapestry of an ashen sky forged by cruelty and rage. Unforgettable of course, the exact moment they were seen. Unforgettable of course, the smell of the smoke, and the taste of the blood. Sulfur. Smoke. Bloody oak and embers; they all suffered from the agony of memory. She could feel her heart rumble and thrash, the echoes of someone scorned from the depths. Forever shackled by a manner of torment she could never fathom, she could hear the murmurs.
