It is batter up for AMC's #TheWalkingDead when it returns later this year, while the climactic season finale told us that the worst is yet to come. Although the hotly anticipated eighth season is still months away, the little trickle of news will help us forget the agonizing wait over the summer and quench our #zombie appetite.

The Bromance Is Over: Michael Cudlitz Speaks Out About New Eugene On 'The Walking Dead'
As #TheWalkingDead Season 7 waved goodbye to some of its best-known faces, we lost one of the show's biggest personalities, Big Red, a.k.a. Abraham Ford. With a defiant "suck my nuts," we cowered as Ford became the first casualty of the series and bowed out in a shower of blood and brain matter. Although the mustachioed marvel returned posthumously for the season finale, the loss of Abraham has been felt on the show — if only in lack of well-groomed facial hair.

Aim For The Head: Archaeologists Find Real-Life 'The Walking Dead' In Medieval England
No, believe me, this is not some delayed April Fool's joke, #TheWalkingDead is very much alive and among us — well, at least it was in Medieval England. While the #zombie apocalypse may seem like some far-off biohazard from a tech-savvy #ResidentEvil future, has our fear of brain-munching monsters actually been around for centuries? Sorry, George. A Romero, it looks like those Medieval peasants beat you to it!

Coming Back Swinging: 'The Walking Dead' Actor Teases Epic Return From Season 1
The Walking Dead isn't exactly kind to its characters, I mean, you never really see anyone wander off into the #zombie apocalypse to live happily ever after with a bouquet of flowers and a Forrest Gump box of chocolates. Normally they are found hacked to bits a few episodes later or having their throat slit over at Terminus.

Dead And Buried: Is 'The Walking Dead' Season 8 About To Be Delayed Indefinitely?
Uh oh, could we be digging up a corpse-load of trouble over on #AMC's #TheWalkingDead? Having just wrapped another shocking season, all eyes are on where showrunner #ScottGimple will take the series next. As we plough headlong into Season 8, there are certainly no signs of the show running out of steam and Gimple and co. are joking that they are looking forward to Season 20. With only a short break between seasons, fans are usually gifted to two halves of a season every year.

May God Be With Us All: Blumhouse Is Bringing 'The Purge' To Television
You'd better head down to Home Depot and stock up on some tools, batten down the hatches, and stop trusting your Desperate Housewives neighbors, because #ThePurge is coming to a home near you. While we wait for any news on what's going on with the fourth Purge film, fans of the political #horror may soon have something else to quench their bloodlust.

The Walking Dread: Andrew Lincoln Reveals How 'The Walking Dead' Season 8 Will Start
While we have barely stopped singing "Eye of the Tiger" after #TheWalkingDead's Season 7 finale, don't rest on your laurels just yet. The finale placed the pieces on the board for #RobertKirkman's "All Out War Part 2" chapter of his #comicbook epic, so don't expect it to be lemonade on the porch of Alexandria just yet. We may have to wait until October to see grimey Rick Grimes on our screens again, but #AndrewLincoln has teased that the show will soon be picking up its baseball bat once more.

Slay It Like You Mean It: Sarah Michelle Gellar Reveals Her Least-Favorite 'Buffy' Season
Sharpen your stakes and floss those fangs, because fandom is coming for #BuffytheVampireSlayer's sixth season, and their will be blood! In 2001 #JossWhedon's vampiric vacation was called out for jumping the shark, or in this case, jumping the portal. Coming off the back of the superb Season 5, Joyce's death and Clare Elizabeth Kramer as Glory, some still argue that Season 6 is the worst thing that happened to Buffy.
