Goats In the Mist
Andrew looked out the window of his newly purchased home on Ridell Road as he sipped a steaming cup of rich, dark coffee. They were back again. They appeared last night, the little buggers, eyes opaque and glowing through his bedroom windows. He could hear their soft baaing sounds as they each tried to get a peek inside while he lay in bed pretending to sleep. What the hell did they want and why only at night? The strangest damn thing he ever saw. Their soft snorts and baas continued through most of the night like some Old McDonald nightmare. Occasionally they would butt the side of the cabin in frustration, disappearing around four am.

The Red Mark
In a country in a distant place, two families were warring. The feud had gone on for so long no one could quite remember the original cause. The present hostilities were based on more recent grudges and murders. One family was named Wren, the other Fox. Both desired to control the countryside and eradicate their enemy.

My Demon Tried Killing Me Again
My demon tried killing me again last night. For some reason I was at a train station, waiting to depart LaLa Land, as I call it. I took my seat and off we went, through the wall of Reality, but after breaking through the haze I was back in the parking lot, trying to get back inside the train station.

Winchester: Everything Dies Here...
Everything dies here……. The dark and raspy quote of the witch next door. She would linger at the gate just as that statement would linger in my mind. I became intrigued by this awkwardly mysterious woman whispering incantations and dragging her old rake across the cement and rocks. I decided to contact my landlord, David, who was always there to help me whenever I had any issues. I compiled an email describing the meeting I got myself into with the neighbor. I explained the way I discovered her watching through the fence, the way she behaved and the things she said. Apparently this was not entirely a surprise to him.

The Best Short Story Ever Written
If I could write one thing, just one good thing, that would be enough for me. As I board the city bus, I can’t shake the dread in my stomach. Skipping class isn’t an option. I couldn’t let the student loans go to waste. This is what I wanted, right?

Another Realm
Time Stood Still The day started like any other. I woke up wrapped in my white, silk sheets, listening to the birds wake up the sun for the day. Dragging myself out of bed, I went to the kitchen to start my coffee. The cold grey tile sent a chill up my spine. I shook it off and headed to the bathroom to grab my black, fleece robe. It was so soft and warm on my skin. I always hung it right above the register so that the heat became trapped in it while it waited for me to put it back on. After I brushed my teeth and brushed out my long auburn hair, I went back to the kitchen which was now filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Mm mm I loved that smell. Once I filled up my favorite teal mug, I settled my morning routine by retreating to my mini wrap around porch to watch the sun come up over the mountain range. As I went to sit down, I noticed a very thick, very large, manilla envelope sitting on the chair opposite me.

Magical Black Book
Sabrina walked through the city, not at all excited to get home. After all she had chores, two siblings to take care of, and an alcoholic father. She never asked for this life and sometimes she wondered what would happen if she was to just run away from the caged life she currently lived. She was only seventeen years old, having to work, take care of house chores and protect her siblings. How was she suppose to live a normal teenage life when she was suppose to take care of adult things. Perfect practice though for when she does leave her family behind.

Little Black Book
It was Friday morning and Jared stood, nodding approvingly into the full length mirror. It had been some time since he had bought something for himself but it was time to finally enjoy the little extra money he had rather than just save his life away. The mall seems like the perfect place since it lost its appeal to the teenagers. Jared felt light hearted the more he turned to view himself. He was trying on a new pair of navy blue jeans that were a perfect fit. ‘You can’t take it with you to the grave so might as well enjoy it’ Jared said to himself as he decided to wear the new pair out. He slipped his Doc Martens on as he folded and rolled his old pants and tucked then into the crook of his left arm. In one swift movement he turned and unlatched the fitting room door, giving his reflection one last nod before swinging it open and making his way to the cashier.
