A World of Darkness and Desire
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn’t my own. I stared at the image in front of me, feeling a shiver run down my spine. The person in the mirror had the same hair, the same eyes, and the same face as me, but there was something different about them. It was like looking at a version of myself that had been twisted and distorted by some unseen force. The longer I stared, the more I began to feel like I was looking at a stranger.

Sanguine River
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn’t my own. Weathered layers of depthless scars carved decades of pain, and loss into every facial expression I tried to make. The cloudy veneer of multicolored grime, bloody fingerprints, and years of natural residue smiled back at me with yellow eyes, proud for having the portentous honor of being the only piece of glass in the world that could truly reflect my bestial identity.

The Broken Mirror
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The image staring back at me was not the familiar face I had known all my life. It was someone else. Someone who looked eerily similar to me, but at the same time, completely different.

A Hunted Asylum
As I walked down the abandoned hallway of the old asylum, my heart was racing with fear. The silence was deafening, and the dim light of my flashlight barely illuminated my path. I couldn't help but wonder why I had agreed to explore this place with my friends.

Reflections of Terror
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. At first, I thought it was just a trick of the light or a smudge on the glass. But as I leaned in closer, I realized that the reflection staring back at me was different. Its eyes were darker, its skin was paler, and its expression was one of pure malice.

The Patient
1. The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. And then, the street appeared at the foot of my balcony. The rumor of ten thousand minuscule feet began to enter the apartment. I closed the door of my bedroom and jumped onto my bed because I knew what followed - the bugs entering below my door. A myriad of black bugs walked blindly, flooding the floor of my room.

Reflection
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn’t my own. Looking back, I should’ve recognized something was amiss. Most things felt as if they weren’t as they appeared. The reflection looked as I did. The facial expressions mimicked my own. Her face was nearly identical. Her gaze was not as it was prior to that day. Her gaze now questioned me, challenged me and mocked me. The person in the mirror winked at me as I backed away from their stare. I questioned them with my brows and a devious smirk is what was returned. I felt the low bass of a chuckle. I sensed a malevolent energy pulsating towards me.

Me
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. Well, perhaps that wasn't quite accurate. It was still me, sort of, but it wasn't a reflection. The freckle on my- on our- cheek was on the same side, er, opposite sides, like we were staring at each other through a window. That, and Mirror-Kate sometimes wore different clothes than me. All things I had in my own wardrobe, just on different days. I tried tracking who wore what when, trying to see if there was any sort of consistent pattern, suggesting maybe a time discrepancy, but I couldn't find anything.

Shattered Mirror And Myself
“The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own.” Thando had been searching for the perfect decorative piece to add to her Gothic-style bedroom for quite some time now, and when she came across an old mirror with intricate carvings around the edges at an antique shop, she knew she had finally found what she wanted. She took the mirror home and hung it on her wall, admiring its beauty and intricate details. But what she didn't expect was the strange feeling of dread that soon followed. At night, when she would look into the mirror, Thando noticed a slight distortion in the reflection that slowly changed over time.
