Mind games taken way too far; explore the disturbing genre of psychological thrillers that make us question our perception of sanity and reality.
Hal
It had been three months since he died. The road to recovery is long and hard, and in this case, also unsuccessful. No matter how much morphine the hospice nurses gave him, he was still in pain. The cancer latched onto every organ it could and would not release its literal death grip on him until every bit of life was gone.

An obsession that didn't end in a mental hospital
This story happened about 10 years ago with Beatrice, a cousin of my friend Veronica. At that time, they were both young girls (both 23-25 years old), cheerful and reckless. In the summer, they usually left for the entire holiday season in some southern city, rented a small apartment there and got a job (both worked in the catering industry). I sometimes broke out for a week or two to visit them, and they always willingly accepted me, because "The more people, the cheaper the accommodation," Beatrice laughed.

Ominous Uncertainty
It was bitter, cold, and I was left alone. The atmosphere around me had teeth hidden behind a thick grey blanket that lay atop the grave below me. I’m swaying, floating and I can’t shake the feeling that hands will come up and drag me into the abyss with the rest that sleep here. Desperately, I beckon for help but only echoes find me. I really am alone out here in this. How did I get to this state? I don’t know. I awoke to this gloom, this icy tomb, as if transported against my will. I’ve been here too long, though, my hands and feet feel foreign, but they need to take me above to where I can feel what lies beneath me, and not this ominous uncertainty.

Alone in a new house.
Buying your first house is always an exciting and terrifying time in any bodies life. We found a house at the end of a dead end road in a quiet town. The house flooded during hurricane Irean so we bought it for a steal. We found a diamond in the rough, a four bedroom, one and a half bath with a full basement and half an acre of land with a shed. We moved in shortly after closing, a blank canvas to do what we will.
