What's Wrong With...
I don't know why so many people have to condemn horror fans. I mean, do you think romance readers are constantly horny? Why horror? One of the things about horror is it be realistic or fantastic or funny or anything in between. It can be mild or extreme. One thing about horror is it is not real.

Ghostly Psychology
When I began this scribbling on Ghosts and poltergeists, it became clear that there was far too much to 'mine' from the topic in one sitting. Like Vampires and Werewolves, ghosts are flexible in their symbolic value. They are messengers and also motivators. They are benign takers and also malevolent bringers of death and carnage. Ghosts express events we don't want to discuss, issues we can't avoid, futures possible only through influence on the present. Ghosts and poltergeists are a feast of information, and we are a famished audience. Let's consume this banquet one bite at a time.

The Rat’s Tale Part 1
"Damn Di, you know I'm tender headed! Can you chill?” My weavologist and childhood friend, Diamond Douglass has been doing my hair since we were 14 years old. She knows better than to be snatching and tugging on my poor little scalp, but I doubt she can relate to my pain. I’m convinced she exchanged her soul for the ability to grow lace fronts right out her scalp. Every week it’s something new. It’s been like that since we were kids, except then it was braid styles she was changing. For some reason today though, whatever was on Faux 10 News was more captivating than the condition of my head.
