Unearthing the Terrifying Truth: The History Behind Elma Horror’s Creepy Story
I gazed out the window as a blistering bolt blazed through the sky and struck the Silver Birch from its roots. This is no day to go to the woods. They’re not haunted. Dave drivels nonsense, especially when Lee’s around. ‘Elma’ Dave called her. Seriously? He said that she had an orphanage hidden in the woods, where she boiled the orphaned children alive and bathed in their blood. When the townsfolk caught her, they burnt her alive. He said you can still hear her blood-curdled screams at night. Nonsense. I looked to the right and there he was, thumping his feet as he walked, mud splattering up his striped joggers.

Room No. 407
Room No. 407 Cold drizzle poured through the night of October and began drumming against the windshield as David pulled into the parking lot of the Redwood Inn. The neon sign flickered and cast some eerie shadows on wet asphalt. He had driven hours and needed rest, which the small, seemingly humble motel seemed to have, so he stopped overnight in the place.

But is Slender Man real, or rather a product of collective imagination? The answer lies in the bowels of internet folklore.

REVIEW: SMILE and SMILE 2
It was a smiley time this Hallowe’en, with Smile 2 in the cinemas and Smile itself hitting streaming services to cash in on this. It’s been a quick turnaround for writer-director Parker Finn, who released his short film Laura Hasn’t Slept in 2020, built on it with the feature-length follow-up Smile in 2022 and turned out the second feature this year. In that short time, the Smile sequence has established itself as one of the most popular and celebrated horror franchises of the last decade.
