Mr. Haddock's Halloween Emporium. Top Story - October 2023. Content Warning.
Awakened by an odd creak from the wooden plank floor my eyes flew open in the dark room. My body stiffened in fear, and my full bladder threatened to betray me. Someone, something unwelcome, was here. Scanning the other eleven beds with the panicked movement of my eyes I observed nothing. Refocusing, a shadow darker than the predawn night floated from one orphan bed to another. It leaned down for a moment and moved to the next. Leather soles tapped softly as the monster came closer. I shut my eyes to feign sleep and prayed I wouldn't be chosen to sate the creature's appetite. Odors of rotted cabbage filled my nostrils as the monster leaned over me. A cold wet tongue licked my jaw and slithered up my cheek. The taster lingered at my temple and gurgled,

The evil pumpkin
Once upon a chilling Halloween night, in the quiet town of Hollowville, an eerie legend was born - the legend of the evil pumpkin. This story has been passed down through generations, whispered around campfires and shared as cautionary tales to keep mischievous children in line. The evil pumpkin, as the story goes, was no ordinary vegetable. It was a malevolent force that lurked in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike fear into the hearts of the unsuspecting townsfolk.

Villainess Review: Ashley Fallon (Charmed)
Hard to believe that the original Charmed series is celebrating 25 years this month. I remember seeing the first promo for the series, which aired on The WB for eight seasons between 1998 and 2006. Originally, the series starred Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, and Alyssa Milano as a trio of sisters who discover that they come from a family of wiccans. The series was the last great brainchild of the iconic Aaron Spelling, and regarding the three stars, Doherty played the eldest sister, Prudence "Prue" Halliwell, Combs played middle sister Piper Halliwell, and Milano portrayed the youngest sister, Phoebe Halliwell.

A Halloween Horror Tale
I had always harbored a staunch disbelief in the arcane and otherworldly, dismissing such notions as the product of fevered imaginations. Ghosts, specters, and malevolent entities were mere phantasms of the superstitious, or so I had believed. That skepticism, however, crumbled into dust when I inherited my ancestral estate, a sprawling labyrinth nestled deep within the impenetrable woods.
