“The Cemetery Where the Graves Whisper Your Name”
The Cemetery Where the Graves Whisper Your Name By [Ali Rehman] Elias had walked past the old Briarwood Cemetery every day of his childhood, and not once had he dared to look inside. The rusted gate, the crooked stones, the way the trees leaned inward as if guarding secrets—they all told him the same thing: Don’t enter.

Is the Ouija Board a Game or a Gateway?
Here's a question for everybody: Are Ouija boards a harmless toy or an instrument of extreme horror that you should never, ever play with? You might be surprised to learn that Google predicted the modern version of the Victorian-era "spirit boards" would be a sellout this Christmas. The search engine confirmed the game is one of the top trending gifts on its price comparison list this year, likely due to the recent release of an Ouija horror film. I’ll tell you exactly which side I’m on: It is not a toy. I believe this is one of the most terrifying things ever, and I totally think that playing with it can open some sort of doorway to the spirit world. You know, there’s a Chinese saying that goes: "It’s easy to invite a spirit, but making it leave is difficult."

Did Ancient Greeks Fear a Zombie Apocalypse?
When you think of the Ancient Greeks, what springs to mind? Maybe the legendary philosophers like Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle? Perhaps the sweeping myths of Zeus, Mount Olympus, and epic literature such as The Iliad and The Odyssey? What probably doesn't cross your mind are... zombies. But according to researchers, there is compelling evidence suggesting that the Greeks were genuinely afraid their dead might rise from their graves and walk among the living. And they took some pretty smart precautions to stop it.

Trapped in a Loop: When Déjà Vu Becomes a Nightmare
I absolutely loved Star Trek: The Next Generation. Honestly, a lot of the episodes from that series have blended together for me over the years, but there’s one that always stands out: the one where the crew is playing poker, and the U.S.S. Enterprise ends up being destroyed. Luckily (or maybe unluckily?), they were stuck in a time loop. The day kept repeating itself until they finally figured out what was happening and worked out how to keep the ship from exploding.

“The Mirror That Remembers Every Face But Yours” “The Mirror That Remembers Every Face But Yours”
The Mirror That Remembers Every Face But Yours By [Ali Rehman] The mirror had been in the house longer than anyone could remember. It hung in the narrow hallway between the living room and the staircase, framed in twisted black wood carved with shapes no one recognized. Some said it was an heirloom; others whispered it was cursed.

“The Room Where Time Refused to Move”
The Room Where Time Refused to Move By [Ali Rehman] I never believed in ghosts or forgotten corners of the past that could trap you like a spider traps a fly. But the old house I inherited from my grandmother held secrets darker and more stubborn than any I’d imagined.

Death is Not the End, Says Science
Let's start with a fun thought experiment: Imagine you run into someone who has achieved true enlightenment. You get to ask them three questions, anything you want. What would they be? Mine would probably be: "What is the meaning of life?", "Why is Kim Kardashian a celebrity?", and, most importantly, "What happens after you die?" That last one is the big one, isn't it? We all die. It’s the one thing every single person on this planet has in common. If you think about it, the countdown starts as soon as you're born. Different religions and belief systems offer different answers to what comes next: Heaven, Hell, reincarnation, or just… nothing. Usually, science, which, if you think about it, is its own kind of belief system, lands on the "nothing" option. You just die, you’re in the ground, and that’s the end of the story.

Creepy Encounters I Had While Cleaning Up After Crime Scenes
A True Horror Story from My Time as a Crime Scene Cleaner I’ve cleaned up blood that’s soaked through old pine floors. I’ve scraped bits of brain tissue off tile, and carried mattresses that sloshed when you moved them. Working in crime scene cleanup isn’t for those with weak stomachs but honestly, it’s not the gore that sticks with you. It’s everything that comes after. The quiet. The strange little moments you can’t explain. People ask me about creepy encounters I’ve had on the job, and over the years, there’ve been plenty. But three of them still keep me awake sometimes. They weren’t the most gruesome scenes, not the worst I’ve seen by a long shot but they were the ones that made me feel something watching from the dark corners. Something that never really left.
