Carnival: Hop To It
Jason was running down a hallway, he fell to the ground and looked around frantically. His only light being that of the blinking red emergency light. Thinking he was safe, Jason slowly got to his feet. Nothing to his left. Nothing to his right. Nothing where he came from. Just him and the blinking red light. Still looking around, he reached behind himself. Reaching for the emergency exit that would lead to the alley. The emergency exit suddenly had the silhouette of a rabbit costume outside of the window. Watching. Jason.

The Case of the Eight Dancing Scarecrows
Detective Lance pulled up in front of the farmhouse, marveling at the way the corn rattled in the field. The corn was wrong, he could tell that right away, and Lance could honestly say he had never seen corn look that way. The husks were brown, the corn inside turning black as it rotted on the stalk. He had been impressed by the amount of corn surrounding the farmhouse, acres of skeletal stalks that made the farmhouse feel more like an island in a dead corn sea. The police cars out front looked out of place in the dirt yard, and as he mounted the stairs, one of the rural cops came out to meet him.

Love Is Killer
Classic doo whop melded with the sounds of gentle humming. As The Penguins crooned on from the record player, Elena folded clothes and placed them in their respective luggage. Matching crimson with differing tags- a pumpkin printed luggage tag for her husband, and a Chocokitty one for her- both were open on top of the bed and nearly half filled. With a huff, Elena hesitated as she held up one of the new dresses she'd just bought and eyed the palm leaf print critically. Was it a little too casual? But maybe the other dress was a little too much for the small town they'd be going to . . . it would be a little embarrassing to stick out like a gawdy, sore thumb on their vacation . . .

Carnival: Take A Bite
A young boy, barely 8, was rushed to the hospital. He was found unconscious on the beach, faintly glowing green. It was a while before the young boy was awake and aware. Despite some oddities, the doctors and nurse deemed him healthy. The chalked up his state up to blunt force trauma, exposure to some strange algae, and ingesting a large amount of salt water. A social worker was called to come in as the young boy was receiving additional treatment and evaluations. The social worker was warned that the child suffered from violent night terrors.

Goblin Bites: Scary Stories 6
Long ago, there was a boy named Sean. He was a mischeivious little lad, with a talent for pranks and getting himself in trouble. He was just as talented, however, at getting himself out of trouble, being naturally gifted as a fast talker with lots of charm. Despite his antics, the people in his village were fond of him, and had taken to calling him "Jack" instead of his given name. This seemed to fit his impish nature more, and he found he quite liked the moniker. His mother and father loved him dearly, but often warned about him taking his pranks and jokes too far. "Having fun was all well and good," they would say, "but someday you'll have to grow up, and take responsibility for your deeds." Jack would brush off these warnings, being the heedless youth he was, and often just did as he pleased.

The Magic Shoes
Miller Middle School was known for one common thing, sports. Pretty well every student played a sport at that school. The most popular sport was by far soccer. The school often had rallies to support all the sports teams. There were incentives to play on the teams such as free meals, movie tickets, and free equipment.
